We purchased two of Carl’s Designed in a Click services....Carla was very quick to respond to our questions and emails. She Definitely is very knowledgeable in design concepts and is very talented. Maybe felt a little leftt hanging.

I have worked with Carla for years now in the Interior Design Community. She is a top designer and a true professional. I have always been a big fan of her work. I used Carla Aston's "Designed in a Click" service for my kitchen renovation. Although she had only my photos to go on, Carla gave me a set of extremely creative recommendations that solved several tricky problems in the room, and specific suggestions to make the whole design work. She gave me tips I'd never have figured out on my own about how to make the room seem larger and how to balance all the elements I wanted within a small space to look cohesive but not overwhelming. I thought I'd have to sacrifice something, but she gave me what I wanted for the room and more--bonus ideas that again, I'd never have considered. Then she graciously answered my followup questions. Highly recommend her talent and only wish we lived in the same state.

Carla Aston and her staff exceeded my every expectation. Carla brought her talents and vision to my common suburban home and helped me turn it into a fabulous space that receives accolades from not only my family and friends but also top interior designers. Carla worked hard to understand my style and what I wanted and then she took it to another level. Her services went past the design level, she assisted me with project execution and quality control. She even went as far as helping me find areas to save money. My home is now spectacular (we remodeled kitchen, living room, master bath and closet, and small changes in every other room). Working with Carla was exactly what I needed for our remodel and design needs and I couldn't be more pleased that I contacted her for help! I worked with her on a redesign for all the main living areas of my home with total gut and remodel of our master bath, laundry room, and a significant upgrade to our kitchen, family room, powder bath and more. She thoughtfully considered my input while steering me in a direction that worked and helped me avoid costly mistakes (particularly in the areas of scale and mixing elements which I tend to struggle with). The design drawings and details she and her team provided gave me the ability to visualize how things might look and more importantly gave the construction crew a very detailed set of instructions. I hired Aston Design to remodel my home office after seeing photos of a home office on Houzz. My husband and I are engineers and can be quite particular. Carla and her team did a great job of meeting every functional requirement I had for the space - down to cord management and power placement. The sketches and architectural drawings for the room could not have been more professional. The finished space is exactly what we wanted. Our office went from unsightly electronics and cords to a room that I'm willing to show off and not hide. The contractor that she recommended was wonderful - prompt, a great communicator and diligently followed up on every request or question.

My wife and I wanted to make some changes, but knew we didn't really have the vision to make it a reality. After looking at various designers in Houston, we landed with Aston Design, and we are extremely grateful we did. We engaged Carla to design 2 wheelchair accessible bathrooms for us, after seeing her work in Houzz. Carla has the most incredible ability to 'read' us....we had a very productive first meeting to discuss the requirements and then she walked around the house observing our interests, observing what resonated with us. The first design was for the guest bath, and she was spot on. We loved her proposal immediately. I remember saying to Carla that she has raised the bar very high for the master bath, which btw, exceeded all expectations!!! Both bathrooms are not only wheelchair friendly, but very beautiful. And SO beautiful that my able-bodied friends do not even notice all the accessibility features. The zen design evokes calm and harmony. Thank you Carla!

Excellent sub-contractors and a wonderful office staff. Very expensive and very little communication with and attention from Ms Aston after the initial visit. I felt like an afterthought, even though I had hired her to help me decorate my new home. I ended up finding most of my furniture myself. In all fairness, the few things I did get from this designer were excellent; but personally, I was really disappointed considering how much I had to pay.

Great job balancing creativity and function. I had no idea what I wanted but she patiently coached me thru many choices and options. Discovered many things I never knew I would like, but now really enjoy.

Carla designed the renovations for our two upstairs bathrooms. That she is talented and experienced was obvious from her portfolio and from the work produced for us. Both bathroom plans were very different: one being more masculine, rustic in style with modern finishes, for our adult son; the other one more formal and elegant for guests. Carla's professionalism impressed us; her general knowledge of product, construction and the overall process is vast. She has a fantastic team; time and again, she and her staff were responsive to our questions and needs. From the first visit Carla was open to our concerns/preferences, and candid on what we should expect in terms of project cost (her own fees as well as the estimate from the General Contractor) and relative time to complete. Once the project was underway, she was responsive to our requests for advice and flexible when we suggested some minor changes. This was our first experience using an independent professional designer. We would highly recommend Aston Design Studios to anyone seeking a high quality engagement and a gratifying outcome. We have one more bathroom remodeling planned - our large master bath - and we would certainly welcome the chance to work with Carla and her team again.
