BRYANT DESIGN STUDIO Not even close..... Go with the KING.

sam0705 Hi Just my two cents - As long as you have room to walk around, go for the king if that is going to give you the better night's sleep. Ultimately, while it's great to have a beautiful and proportioned master bedroom, it's private and it's where you sleep, so the most important thing is that it's comfortable for you. Personally, one of my favorite things about staying in a hotel is a king sized bed and I look forward to replacing my queen even though my master is small.

leelee One thing that might help your decision. If you get a memory foam mattress and the platform (what you'd think of as a replacement for box springs) then it won't matter what size your bed is because there is no movement of the mattress when your partner turns over or even gets up at night. You just need to make sure that you don't use your old box springs with a memory foam mattress or that feature will be lost.

alexm13 Add light colors to brighten it up. Hanging or potted plants would add life to the dark entrance .

BRYANT DESIGN STUDIO Without seeing the full elevation of the house... I see the same general entrance as the ones above, but with some added more specific to the project ideas: 1) Move the stone wall over to get some elbow room to the left of the entry. 2) use a lattice between the column and the left corner to hide the exterior boxes on the side of the house. 3) add a dormer over the skylight to emphasize the entry (you could add a skylight to the top of the new roof the projects out from the house to add the needed light you spoke of). 4) add shutters to the windows to tie in the traditional motif. 5) extend the front porch out in a brick material.
