CJ's Custom Cabinets

I began a remodel of my bathroom and because I had recently installed a tile floor the new vanity had to fit precisely where the original one was. I was also converting a one sink to two sink countertop. Because of this I decided I needed a custom vanity cabinet. I called a number of cabinet millwork shops but they were all busy for months or only wanted large projects. Chris' previous employer actually recommended him for the job. Chris was very helpful and patient with me during the design phase, as the countertop and sink layout I had already purchased left a number of design challenges. Chris worked it all out and came up with a great looking cabinet. During the build process he sent me photos and actually completed the cabinet frame before I had the plumbing ready for it. Chris was great to work with, I definitely recommend him especially if you need or want a custom design.

In 2016 we found Chris while looking for someone to rebuild some built in shelving units around our fireplace. Chris was outstanding to work with and very well priced. He is a perfectionist in regards the quality of work he does for his client and has become a friend to our family along the way. Not only did Chris help design the built in cabinets around our fireplace but he also built a wrap around Mantel above the fireplace when we re-did the brick. If you are looking to do any sort of cabinetry work....give Chris a call....he is fantastic.

Not only is Chris friendly and down to earth, he also does excellent work and is true to his word. I had my kitchen,laundry room, dining room and 2 baths done. I received the cabinets when promised. Chris also helped me change a few things and it turned out better than I expected! If you want quality work then Chris is your man!

My wife and I contacted Chris to inquire about a custom built in cabinet for a large nook in our dining room. Upon first speaking to Chris we were immediately impressed with his friendliness and professionalism. We told him what we were looking for and advised him that we were trying to stay in a tight budget. Since we live pretty far from him he requested we send him some pictures of what we were thinking of and some rough dimensions and he would get back to us with a rough quote to see if it was within budget before driving out. After sending the info Chris got back to us promptly (a trend that he continued throughout the project) with a quote that worked for us. Chris came out and meet with us and after looking at more idea pictures began to sketch a drawing for us, making several great suggestions that we would have never thought of. Chris even worked with us trying to find the exact right stain color, even going so far as to have a custom stain color made! Chris sent us pictures of his progress, which moved very quickly. The finished product ended up being better than my wife or I could have imagined. We cannot say enough good things about not only his craftsmanship but his customer service as well. I should mention that we had another contractor come out prior to finding Chris, and that guy not only seemed uninterested, and just wanted to copy something off the internet that was similar to what we had in mind, but he also quoted us a much higher price. That first guy spend no more than 10 minutes with us, Chris met with us the first time for almost an hour, looking at pictures, sketching, and offering suggestions. I have worked with many different contractors in all kinds of fields and I have never had someone get back to me as quickly, or keep me informed as Chris does. We plan on using Chris again for another project we have in mind.

My husband and I just recently moved to the Lake Geneva area and were having a difficult time finding someone to build a custom pantry cabinet in our kitchen. We found Chris on Houzz and gave him a call. He was very friendly and came out within a few days to take a look. He understood our needs and helped us design a beautiful and functional cabinet that completes our kitchen perfectly. We were very impressed by his responsiveness and attention to detail. He sent progress updates with pictures throughout the project and sourced the best materials to match our existing cabinets which are 10 years old. We couldn't be happier with the results and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for custom cabinetry work.

At the recommendation of Burmeister Woodwork's we hired Chris to make our solid oak vanity. Chris came out immediately for measurements, listened carefully to all our specifications, and was a pleasure to work with. He kept us clearly informed with the progress of the project and completed it in a very timely manner. Besides the beautiful vanity, the best thing about working with Chris was his professionalism. He was always available for questions, worked quickly, and completed an extremely high quality product. If we ever move, we will have to figure out a way to take this vanity with us!

Chris is a superb carpenter. He is a cheerful and pleasant man and a pleasure to work with. He's a good listener and designed the bookcase to my specifications. We really felt involved in the process. Chris sent numerous text messages and photos as construction progressed. Twice, by Chris's invitation, we went to his workshop. He was very patient and answered all of our questions. Unlike other carpenters/contractors we have worked with, Chris answered our phone calls or promptly returned calls. After getting multiple estimates from competitors we decided to go with CJ's custom cabinets simply because the owner listened to our needs and wants. he understood exactly what we wanted and delivered more than we expected. The product is quality and will last for years to come. The job was finished ahead of schedule even after we needed to make some changes due to our needs. The owner was very understanding and helpful. After seeing the finished product we are certain that we went with the right company.
