We just completed a very successful 4-month kitchen renovation project working with the talented designers and installers at Classic Kitchen & Interiors. Barbara Darcy was our primary design consultant and she provided exemplary guidance, inspiration and creative ideas throughout the entire process. She listened attentively to our needs and preferences and presented well thought out options for us to consider. She patiently supported us when our needs unexpectedly changed/evolved during the iterative design process. Additionally she played a key role liaising with the countertop fabricator, advocating on our behalf to address some concerns we had after the countertop installation. She was highly responsive to us, always clearly setting expectations regarding design, delivery and cost while providing white-glove service. We also can’t say enough about the installation team (thanks again Darren, Frank and Cameron for your high quality workmanship and work ethic!) - always timely and professional with a strong sense of pride in their work. We are thrilled with the final kitchen space and would highly recommend the team of expert professionals at Classic Kitchen to anyone planning kitchen or bath remodel. In fact, we hope to use them again for our next home renovation projects!!

When planning our new home on Cape Cod, the decision regarding who would design our kitchen and other areas was easily made once we met Becky Brown on an enjoyable summer Cape Cod afternoon at her Hyannis showroom.Our project with Classic Kitchens progressed quite smoothly and efficiently and Becky's professional demeanor was thoroughly appreciated. We also were pleased with the high quality workmanship and materials provided by her staff and our only regret was to learn that they are all Boston Red Sox fans.In response to a very pleasant experience with our Cape Cod project, we were motivated to approach Becky with a somewhat unusual request to design our kitchen renovation project in our Connecticut home. For a second time, we had yet another great experience working with Becky and the Massachusetts contractor whom she recommended for our project, in spite of the fact that our CT home is almost 200 miles from her Hyannis office.In closing, we have the highest regard for the work and materials provided by Becky and her colleagues and would recommend them highly, and without reservation. To document this statement, we have already had a conversation with Becky regarding yet another project.

We started working with Classic Kitchens while we were renovating the exterior of our home. Although we weren’t quite ready to start any interior projects before moving to our “retirement home”, we knew we would need to renovate the master bedroom & bath as well as the kitchen. By having CK involved this early, CK was able to give us feedback as to window/door size(s) and placement in the area of the kitchen & master bedroom/bath. Our first project with CK was our master bedroom and bath which soon lead us into our second project - the kitchen. The kitchen was done in two phases. The first phase involved removing some walls and combining different levels of ceilings while leaving a functional kitchen for the summer rental. Again, because CK was involved at this stage, CK gave us some great feedback which lead to a great design. The second phase was the actual installation which was begun once we were able to make the move to our “retirement home” permanently. CK was very patient with us going through a number of designs and renderings to help us make the most of our space while combining our vision to maintain the character of our home and its surroundings. Barbara helped us make our kitchen both comfortable and functional for the two of us on a daily basis and as well as when our children and grandchildren come to visit. Barbara’s attention to detail was impressive. She thought of things we never thought about such as how best to intermingle some of our kitchen areas with the detailing of the cabinets and countertops to look like pieces of furniture added over time. Her designer’s envision help us tremendously with choosing the style and color of cabinets and hardware, countertop edges, backsplash, and detailing of our range and island areas. Our kitchen incorporated our sunroom which overlooks the lake. Maintaining the view was also at the top of our wish list so the placement of cabinets and appliances was important as well as was maintaining proper clearances for walker/wheelchair access. CK helped us maintain the view and incorporating everything we needed by providing us with a great design. We are very pleased with the outcome of our kitchen and can’t say enough about Barbara and all at CK. Barbara’s ability to take our ideas (while working with a given space that was ever-changing) truly gave us our dream kitchen. We especially enjoyed working with Barbara who took our project to completion with a great installation crew. Even Daren and Frank were very professional and pleasant onsite.

From the plans, measurements and visits to Classic Kitchen, everything went like clockwork! Becky Brown got it all correct and the bathroom turned out beautiful. The installers were wonderful and were able to get everything done during blizzards and the worst winter we have had in years. The counter top installers were equally wonderful. Polite and efficient! Seems that this was the easiest part. The rest was on the homeowner - converting from polished brass to oil rubbed bronze. But, we got it done and it is gorgeous. Overall, the project took 3 months.

Working with Barbara Darcy & Classic Kitchens has been a very positive experience. Barbara is creative & professional. She worked with me in designing a kitchen which was perfect for our space. She was also very conscious of our budget and worked to get us the best value. Barbara was also an excellent resource with regards to other items for the kitchen, i.e. counter tops, plumbing fixtures, etc. We were doing two kitchen renovations simultaneously, 1700 miles apart. Classic Kitchens designed and implemented a kitchen renovation for us, and followed up with a renovation of two bathrooms. Both jobs produced excellent outcomes, with attention to detail that left us with no regrets about choices in layout, appliances, cabinets and counters, and lighting. The designer was knowledgeable and experienced, and produced a design that was innovative, given a complex footprint to work with. The design achieved good traffic flow and made full use of the available space. The CK team worked well with us, and with our general contractor and electrician, and there were no problems or delays with the project. I have recommended CK to several others who were considering similar projects, whether new construction or renovation.

We worked with Barbara Darcy at Classic Kitchen & Interiors to renovate a 1980's kitchen. She brought years of expertise and helped us layout the new kitchen and design. While we had a style in mind, Barbara was very helpful in guiding us through the process of cabinet selection (cabinet grade & narrowing down selection) as well as cabinet color choices. She then worked with us to define what type of features would enhance the functionality of our kitchen. Barbara was key in steering us toward several resources for counter top materials. Barbara was prompt; there was always follow-up, whether with us or the manufacturer, and our product was delivered in a timely manner. She coordinated with our contractor each step of the way and the result is a kitchen that reflects our taste and expectation. Worked with Becky who was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and personable. As newcomers to the process we weren't really sure of what we wanted much less of all the possibilities. She was able to help us through, offering guidance on every aspect of the design for the space, cabinetry, etc., and coordinated with our builder, countertop people, and installers.
