Clemleddy Construction

Unfortunately they do not stand behind their products nor their own work and very poor customer service. Initially I met with their kitchen designer and we did a walk through of my current kitchen and what I wanted. What she told me and noted as to where cabinets were to go and where the counter was to end was not what she designed. Thankfully I was there when they were painting on the floor where everything was to go and I noticed that the counter was much longer than it should be, the project designer went over everything with me and I told him that was not what we discussed and that the counter need to end where we discussed. I am told that the cabinets were already ordered a special order so even thought the designer made the mistake I was told that I had to accept and pay for the unusable cabinet. After completion I had a few issues the biggest is with the lazy susan and it took a few weeks to get someone to come out and fix it along with the an inside rack that fell off the cabinet door. Another few months went by and the lazy susan stopped working again, I took weeks for someone to answer my emails and phone calls and over 3 months to get someone to come out here again. The repair guy told me that I put in the wrong lazy susan and there should have been a different one in this space. I told him that I did not pick out nor install this lazy susan this is what your kitchen designer put in this space. To this day it has never been fixed correctly and is now unusable.

We have nothing but the highest praise for the Clemleddy construction team. Our project was completed on time and on budget with no unexpected construction delays, no unexpected cost over runs and best of all, the project has exceeded our expectations. The crew was a pleasure to work with, the job site was kept clean and neat and the quality of the work was excellent. We certainly expect to use the Clemleddy team on our next home improvement project.

Excellent builders. We can't say enough good things about everyone we dealt with in the Clemleddy team. Extremely helpful with excellent suggestions, quality workmanship, and very willing to accommodate us with any concerns we encountered. Craig and his team were prompt in returning all of our calls in regards to our project. We highly recommend them and would not hesitate to hire them again for our next project.

We love these guys and have hired them for additional work. They did a major addition to our home which we are thrilled with. Very professional, responsive and on target. We had neighbors stop buy who were amazed at the quality of the work and the products used. They were also amazed at the work ethic: no early starts - just on time, worked a full day., never left a mess at the end of the day, and always willing to help you move something if necessary. Nice people, polite and respectful of our home and living in the project status. We felt like they were part of our family.

AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL! DISHONEST!!! We hired Craig Smyth "owner" of Clemleddy to provide us with plans to build a small 1000 -1200 sq foot house with handicapped features for my diabilities.. The signing fee was $1,800.00. We were told that he would supply us with as many designs as we needed until "we were happy even if it took 100 drawings". We signed the contract and gave him the payment in late September 2016. We received 3 drawings by October 25, 2016. One bigger than the next. Not one was under 1,400 sq.ft. We sent him an email with the changes, we wanted explaining that the designs were to big and to please make the necessary changes to the existing plans to make it the square footage we wanted. He email me "no problem". On December 2, 2016, We had to emailed Craig to find out what was going on. We had no contact from him for 6 weeks. We received an email with an apology, and that we would receive a drawing by the end of the week. We received nothing. We got an email on December 10th saying he was really busy and we should meet after the holidays. We called the week of Jan 1st to find that he was on two week vacation but made an appointment for the Saturday after his return. We had to cancel this appointment for personal reasons and rescheduled for Feb. 11, 2017. We arrived at his office to meet him and the draftsman, PJ. At this time, Craig did not even bother to show up until our meeting was over. In light of the designs, we received, we were not confident that PJ was given the correct criteria of what we wanted to build. My husband made a rough drawing of what we wanted to build and gave it to them. On March 2, 2017 we received a "we can't satisfy you letter". If he can't design a 1000 foot home with a drawing done for him, it's pretty sad. We asked for a $900. refund. Now, he won't return our calls. We felt half the payment was more than fair for the work he did. However, he gave us nothing we asked for. In return, he gave us what he wanted to build. Our experience with Craid Smyth was nothing but dishonest!!! Don't waste your money. I am thankful to have found out the character of this man, before I gave him $200 to $250 a square foot to build a home. If this is how he treats his customers during the design phase, I am glad I did not find out how he builds a home. He wasted 6 months of our valuable building time.

It was a pleasure to work with Clemleddy Construction. They provided us with all the information we needed to create a custom bar top and mantel for their clients. Communications were professional and friendly, and we would welcome them as customers again any time.

Clemleddy designed and built a custom lake home for us. From start to finish, the craftsmanship, professionalism and attention to detail shown by everyone on the Clemleddy team was top notch. The house was completed on time and on budget and it turned out even better then we had hoped. We are looking forward to enjoying our beautiful new home.

When people see my house for the first time they always ask who was the builder and would I use them again? The answer is Clemleddy Construction and an unequivocal yes. Like most people looking for a builder, I did my research on a number of firms in the local area. I looked at the builder’s reputation, depth of experience, previous projects and references and most importantly, company integrity. No matter how good my research and follow-up interviews are, there’s a chance the firm you select just might not meet all your expectations. In my case, Clemleddy exceeded my expectations and built a wonderful home. From the owner to the entire Clemleddy crew, I saw dedication to their respective crafts and a willingness to listen to my ideas, and when we ran into challenges, I listened to their guidance and I was never disappointed. Clemleddy Construction is an excellent firm and highly recommended.

Clemleddy Construction worked with us on our lake house. The projected is in it's final phase. We basically ended up redoing the whole house, from foam insulation, to New Kitchen, Bathrooms (3) to flooring, and every inch of the house was painted, inside and out. We also add a beautiful front porch and new cable railings off the back decks. Our lake house was a diamond in the ruff and now it the shining star of the neighborhood. Clemleddy is a family owned business. Not only do they build new houses, they also have the improve it crew, for customers like me that buy an older home with needs. They have a very good crew and their employees are hard working and dedicated to making your vision come true. With all projects large and small, you always run into a few issues, I have to say Clemleddy knows how to make a concern or change better. If I were to buy another house I wouldn't think twice in hiring Clemleddy to build it. Honest, trusting and nice workmanship! I have and will continue to refer Clemleddy because I don't have to worry... They are the best builders in the area!

We had been told that building a house would be a stressful, unpleasant experience. Not with Clemleddy!! From our first meeting with Craig until the day that he and Susy handed us the keys, everyone at Clemleddy worked hard to help us achieve our dream. We relied on Craig's years of experience to help us design a home that blends perfectly into its environment and will work for us and our family for years to come. His expertise saved us so much time and effort; with minor tweaks, his first design became the blueprint for our house. And then there's Susy. We had no idea how many design decisions go into building a new house. With her help and patience, and her excellent design eye, we got through the process with our marriage intact! We've lived here for 9 months and haven't found a thing we would change. They did a fantastic job responding to the broken pipe situation. They were there immediately and promptly started the clean-up. Could not have asked for a better response.
