Complete design of dining area, complete already furnished decor for upstairs family room, and 1st floor. Original deposit for the project was made in early March 2018, project was to be completed by Easter 2018. After over a year of excuses the project was mostly completed June-July 2019. I did not get all the items promised, timelines were non existent even after being being promised $150 a day penalty for missed deadline. Definitely a talented interior designer but the poor professionalism and customer is not worth the head ache and unreasonable project completion time.

D and A Designs owner (Dereky Hagler) wanted full invoice paid for . I paid everything in FULL 8mths ago and I still NEVER received anything from them . I was supposed to receive furniture in 4-8 wks.. We are at month 8.. Every month she gave me an excuse for these huge delays. After speaking to her again for the last time she was verbally abusive! She was defensive and would not let me talk ...All RED FLAGS went up . She took my 30k and I have nothing and she’s upset? That is strange! After googling her company recently she has so many complaints and lawsuits .. Unfortunately I was lied to and she stole my money without providing any of my merchandise. I will be moving forward and filing a civil lawsuit against her and her business and pressing charges criminally as well .. Many prayers needed for this whole situation, God bless

Very unprofessional. They sell you a dream until they are hired. I paid a large sum of money up front because they needed to buy equipment and furniture lo and behold there is nothing. Unfortunately I had to sue them, please don’t hire them.

We’ve worked with D&A in the past and recently had them do our master bathroom and basement. The master bathroom was done in about a week. We were blown away by the results! D&A went above and beyond our expectations! The basement is amazing as well. They started with a blank canvas as our basement was unfinished. They made everything turn key - with construction to complete design. We gave them very little direction, but yet they was able to capture our vision! They are truly talented. The master bath happen to have my wife’s favorite colors and the basement has mine. It’s my ultimate man cave. I now live in my basement lol. I not only appreciate the fact that the designs were DOPE, I also appreciate their communication/customer service every step of the way. I understand myself as a business owner, it’s tough trying to make everyone happy especially when you’re busy. They were able to give us an impressive space, built from scratch that also encompasses utility as well. Both spaces and very functional. They also didn’t take any shortcuts either! We are VERY pleased with Dereky, Al and team!!! We will definitely have them do every other room in our house.

My Jewel Toned Theme Home Was Everything and more then I every dreamed of! I met Al and Dee August 2018 at the model home in my new community because my new home was not going to be complete until December 2018. During my consultation I explained to Dee that I wanted a TV Wall, Mural, pops of glam and pink. At that very moment she stated she would get me everything I requested but make sure my home was unique to me. Dee and her assistant sent me furnisher selections for my living room December 2018 which I was able to pick out the sofa I wanted. However, early January when the furnisher arrived, Dee sent me a message saying that the furniture was too small for my living room and we will have to pick new furnisher. At this point she was very apologetics because my project will now be delayed and she even offered to purchase one of the sofas since I now needed two. Dee and Al had there contractors in my home from about 8 am - 5pm and they were very respectful. Al and Dee would pop in at times to check on them and make changes. February 2019 the new furnisher finally came in!! Dee and Al asked if they could work late in my home on a Friday night due to me having a housewarming at my house Saturday morning. Al and Dee worked until about midnight Friday night and when I say I walked into my home I was in total shocked. The small delay was WORTH THE WAIT! This couple is truly walking in there calling, they are truly blessed. The way they put everything together was like nothing I have ever seen. She listened to my request and made it my unique home. She added tons of free upgrades due to the small delay and even upgraded my bathroom. Dee and Al are a true blessing from God and there work specks for itself! I can’t wait to work with them again this summer to complete my upstairs.

In June of 2018 my husband and I met with Dee hagler for the first and only time throughout this whole ordeal. She came to our home for a consult and we were beyond excited to be having her put her special touch on our new home. Little did we know it would become a complete nightmare. In August we gave a 9k deposit from a total of 1365.00 total and told our home would be complete by sep 17, 2018 (per contract terms) After two missed dates for installation. I became very frustrated with the situation and felt that we were being treated poorly. In October I spoke to Dee hagler on the phone for the first time and expressed how unhappy I was with how we were being handled and thy I had not received options that we discussed I would receive at the time of consult. This was not our first experience with an interior designer. The first experience was smooth and we were left over satisfied with the process. Moving forward that conversation with Dee hagler and I did not go well. I did tell her that I wanted out of the contract and she told me that wasn’t a option. After having an unpleasant conversation. Days later I had communication with her assistant I asked if our home could be complete by the end of October because I wanted to have a dinner for my husband. Dee hagler agreed to have our home completed by then. That did not happen. We had about two more dates set after that, that were never met. Right before thanksgiving it was told that our home would be completed. We were told a day and time. That day came and that time passed. We never heard anything although we waited around all day. I called her assistant the next day only find out that Dee hagler and already left town and our home would not be completed. At this point I’m beyond frustrated. About 2 weeks later Dee hagler post something to her IG basically saying is your home D&A ready for the holiday. I responded to her saying unfortunately ours is not. She responded saying the post was old and that she promised our home would be complete before Christmas. Being upset and disappointed I simply sent back a smiley face. After that were told about 3 different dates that never happened. The week before Christmas I DM’ed Mrs.Hagler again asking if our home would be completed before Christmas as she promised. She stated that all our items were at her assistant home and she just needed to fly down to put it all together. On dec 23.2018 Dee hagler assistant and her sister showed up to my home saying they were doing my install. Dee was not present. I was so confused because she made it clear that she didn’t know what she was doing and the most important thing we didn’t hire the assistant we hired Dee hagler. The items that were brought to my home to install were beyond ridiculous. I ended up keeping 2 pictures, 2 chairs, and regular sized mirror when I stated several times I wanted it oversized and a table setting that I didn’t ask for. I did reach out to Dee hagler and express my disappointment with the whole situation I am expecting and hormonal so I did get very upset as I felt Dee hagler wasn’t grasping my point. For her it was “the numbers add up” stating that the items that were delivered equaled up to our deposit which clearly did not. Things did get very ugly after that I won’t go into detail just yet but I have every single message from our unpleasant text convo. After she got notice that I had written a small review about our situation. I was contacted by her and let’s just say it were alot of threats and awful claims being made on her behalf. After going back and forth for a while Dee hagler stated that she wanted nothing more than to find a amicable solution for our “unfortunate situation”. I gave an option I felt was fair. She counter-offered and after speaking to my husband we counter-offered back. We felt it would be best just to get what we asked for back and cut our ties completely. Dee hagler told me that she would send the offer to her lawyers and they would be in contact. I did let her know that we would be considerate but this situation was time sensitive. It has been 7 days and I have yet to hear anything from her about the last proposal that was sent. Seeing that we have funds in her possession that are unanswered for. I did tell her that I would not reach out to her again regarding this matter and that she should govern herself accordingly. So moving forward this is were we are in this situation. I was hoping that we would not have to go to such drastic measures but this is just not a lost we’re willing to sit down and take. This was my personal experience with Dee Hagler.

D&A Design Group are a well oiled machine. Over the past two years of working closley with them I've had the pleasure of making quite a few projects shine. They are very professional and have a great knowledge in construction and designing. WOW!!!! D&A Designs are creative, efficient, and professional! After living in our home for 9 years, my wife and I decided we wanted to decorate our living room and dining room. It wasn't as simple as we thought it would be. We purchased a dining room table with chairs, some framed art work and a mirror, chairs for the living room and still wasn't happy. Additional months went by and we heard about D&A Designs, gave them a call and they scheduled an appointment to meet us the next day. This company is a husband and wife duo, who are very pleasant. They made some suggestions and gave us a price. We discussed it and made the decision not to call around for other quotes. Within a few weeks, I came home today to what looks like a brand new entrance to my home. They repainted, removed carpet and added hardwood flooring, added casing to our windows, added recessed lights with a dimming switch and so much more. They were able to use the items we had sitting there and hung up our framed pieces of art and mirror. The AMAZING part was they added a feature at no additional cost that adds so much character to our living room; a display wall with several boxes and recessed lighting. I am totally blown away by the short turn around, unbeatable pricing with a bonus that will be a conversational piece when we entertain. The only issue is now my wife wants to continue with updates to the neighboring rooms (family room and kitchen). I will definitely give D&A Designs a call to work more magic in our home.

Please read before hiring D & A Designs! If you are looking for a contractor who will give you the best bang for your buck, then this is the contractor for you. This contract company came to my home, listened (patiently) to me describe the type of work I wanted completed, and turned my ideas into an unimaginable “work of art” at a low cost. They understand the term “on a budget” and they are not pushy sales people either. I was kept abreast of the work being completed throughout the entire process. My opinions mattered! The business owners and their contract workers were always pleasant and professional. I appreciate the manner in which both owners treated my home and most importantly my family. I have had several other companies visit my home and provide quotes and each of them gave a price that not only was higher but their end product (via the pictures they showed) were plan, simple, and of a “cookie cutter” quality. I loved coming home and seeing the transformation of my home. These contractors definitely are passionate about the work they do and have a gift of being able to make your ideas “POP”. Their services are so amazing; I have already hired them to work on another project. Another great quality is their ability to communicate via email and text. I am often in meetings during the day and cannot easily accept telephone calls, so the ease of using technology works for me. If you are looking for a contractor to enter your home and passively listen to your desires, give you quick measurements without a smile, and charge you big bucks for every minor adjustment or request; do not hire this contractor. Go with the “Average Joe”; which D & A Designs is positively not.

Excellence at its best. On Oct. 3, 2016, D&A Design group fulfilled our dream in making our 1972, old fashion bathroom with a yellow sink and tub to an updated decorative bathroom in 3.5 days as they projected for a reasonable cost. Everything old was torn out and everything new was put back in (see photos of the work quality). They are professional, honest, reliable, and detailed from top to bottom.. I truly love their work and their workers does a great job. Our little bathroom looks much bigger to us. I have recommended this company to my friends and family.
