Distinctive Chesterfields

Terrible delivery experience. Waited months for a broken product which I was rudely asked to store in my house for 4 plus months until a replacement arrived which is still has not. I threw the 5k couch on sidewalk for city bulk trash to donate. Springs popped and cracked and sitting area sunk within weeks. Terrible quality. Delivery and quality both a failure. I researched and sadly my due diligence was not good enough. When new replacement chair arrives I will also toss or donate this piece.

I ordered 2 leather wingbacks for about $3000. After the expected wait of several weeks they arrived ('white glove delivery'). Legs on both were damaged - one was leg broken and each l of the legs were supposed to have a tight fitted dowel for stability. The dowels were too small and narrow to work. Both chairs had back panels permanently stretched out of shape. Their response was to say a furniture specialist would come to fix them. That took about 6 weeks and after 10 minutes, he said he couldn't fix the damage. After another 5 weeks they picked them up after they had sat, unusable, in our living room for about 2 1/2 months. I received a refund about 7 months after my original purchase! The owner never showed any particular empathy or interest in addressing my problem I had to initiate each correspondence. She even offered me 15% if I would just keep these inferior products. I can't remember ever having such terrible service, while they were holding my $3000. I am in my 70's and have never posted any review before, but this must be reported. Do not do business with this organization You may have similar problems.

I should've written this review about a year ago, but I have been so totally and utterly intoxicated by the lasting comfort of such exquisite sofas that it completely slipped my mind. The tufted leather is absolutely stunning, you will not be disappointed by anything you order from Distinctive Chesterfields. More so, Ruth Olbrych goes above and beyond to ensure that you are satisfied with your purchase. She is great at what she does and cares whether or not you are happy once the transaction is complete. There is no doubt in my mind that I will purchase additional pieces from Ruth in the future! Great company and even better people!

We ordered two lovely classic blue sofas (one having a pull out bed) for our living room. The sofas are gorgeous (even more handsome than depicted on the Chesterfield website) and appear to us to represent excellent craftsmanship. The cost was not cheap, but we are happy with the value received. Because the sofas were shipped from the United Kingdom, we were nervous--but Chesterfield's USA representative (Ruth Olbrych) kept us well-informed and made delivery a painless process. I grew up in Scotland and my parents had a Chesterfield suite in our main living room. I'm also a University of Glasgow Alum, where the Reading Room was filled with dozens of red leather Chesterfield armchairs. As a result, I have a love for these chairs that goes beyond their beauty and excellent quality. My husband is from the U.S.A and although he had never sat on a Chesterfield I was soo confident in the product quality that we decided to order a full suite to be sent from the U.K. to our home near Chicago, U.S.A. We opted for the vintage red leather finish and it is just beautiful. I moved house recently so I'm still working on the decor in the room (see the photo), however even in a half finished room this suite is simply stunning. It took about about 6 weeks after our order was placed for the suite to arrive and it was worth the wait. It arrived in pristine condition and was delivered and unpacked with care. Everyone at Distinctive Chesterfields was easy to work with and very cooperative. I highly recommend them and their very Distinctive Chesterfields.

I could not be happier with the product, the process, the prices, and the customer service (both in the US and the UK) offered by Distinctive Chesterfields. I purchased a 2 seater Blenheim sofa in the antique blue leather and it is absolutely stunning and comfortable. Currently it is in my living room, but it's design is so classically versatile that it fits perfectly in a residential living room, an office, a study, or a bedroom. Basically, this product is exactly what I wanted and is one of my best purchases of 2013!

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this company. Friendly helpful staff who where a pleasure to deal with. My two Chesterfields were delivered on time and were even better than I expected..Just beautiful. The only down side is they are so well built I'm going to have such a long wait to be able to order new ones!!
