I’m a 35-year-old woman trying to build my first home, and I first needed a simple pole barn completed before moving forward. I reached out to this company because their reviews looked great—but now I’m questioning how real those reviews are. I asked them to help with basic plan corrections and take over the pole barn project. They said they could, and I even told them that if things went well, I would use them to build my home. Instead, I received an estimate that made no sense: a $2,500 permit fee even though I already have a permit, plus over $10,000 in “engineering and consulting” for a simple pole barn. Despite their promises, they’ve offered no real help and have only made the process harder. If you’re looking for honesty, support, or reasonable pricing, this was not my experience.

Working with Dodson Construction was an amazing experience! They did a Master Bathroom remodel/makeover for us. From start to finish they provided great communication, were always very professional and respectful of our home and family needs. The job was completed on time and they stayed in the agreed budget. Having a designer on their team to help with ideas and work with me on what I envisioned was exactly what I needed with my busy schedule. We recently had our kitchen and family room remodeled by Dodson Builders Construction. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. From the first meeting with Peter, we knew clearly what to expect. David and Shelbi guided us through the design phase with their expertise but also taking into consideration of our likes and dislikes to make the vision of our new space into reality. The crew members were wonderful and considerate, always willing to answer our questions. Norman kept us updated everyday of the project progress. He always responded promptly to our questions. Lisa was in frequent contact with us to see if we had any concern. Peter and his team made what could have been a stressful project a smooth experience. We would highly recommend Peter and his team.

What started out as updating our kitchen turned into a whole house remodel. We basically took the inside of the house down to bare walls. We really liked the design process. Once the design was done, we met with our designer once a week to pick things out. One time it might be appliances and the next might be flooring. Because of the scope of the project, it took about 6 months from start of design to start of construction. It was nice not to be rushed and overwhelmed by the decisions that had to be made. Dodson accommodated our wish to stay in the house during the remodel. They split the process into two phases by doing half the house at a time while we lived in the other half. All the people who came into the house were nice and courteous and cleaned up at the end of the day. There were problems and one was major in my opinion but when pointed out were corrected. We are extremely satisfied with the results.

Let me just start off by saying that we met with several other contractors before we started our project. Those other contractors did not leave us with a good sense that they would be able to complete our project to the level of our expectations. Cheap work is not quality and quality work is not cheap. Peter and the rest of the Dodson team are top quality in every aspect of the construction industry. From planning and design, all through the construction phase, and even now, Peter and his team took great care of us and our home. I am extremely happy with the quality of work that was done and the trust that was built during the process is unwavering. If we had any questions or concerns, Norman and Lisa were there to answer our call. Peter and his team went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. We went through a kitchen remodel with Dodson Builders Construction and we are thrilled with the outcome. The timeline was longer than originally expected but Covid has sent a lot of people into remodeling their homes and there is a waiting list to get started. The owner, Peter, has a stellar team working for him. From design to the finished kitchen, the process was smooth and enjoyable. They made unusable spaces in our kitchen useable . They minimalized dust going into other parts of our home. We appreciated the workers respecting our home and even felt safe letting them work while we were out of town. The team showed up on time, cleaned up daily, and did all the work the right way the first time. They did not take short cuts, they followed the blueprint and the final kitchen shows their craftmanship. Communication with everyone on the team was flawless. They answered questions, emails and gave us a run down of what was done and what was going to be done next every day. We always knew who was coming, leaving and what piece of work was to be done each day. A mistake with a subcontractor installing a counter was handled by Peter and the team and it was of no hassle to us. This company was great to work with. They held true to their promises and delivered a beautiful and functional kitchen to us. We would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone. For the money that is put out to rebuild a kitchen, you will not be disappointed if you hire Dodson Construction. We used Houzz to make a board of things that we wanted to use, and it was very helpful.

Dodson Builders has my utmost recommendation: from planning to execution, the entire process was professional and enjoyable. They listened to my wants and needs, and implemented each need with the perfect touch of functionality and personality. The owner, Peter, and Mike were extremely communicative and I always knew what was going on and what to expect. Luiz was like a house guest when in my home working, curious and friendly. They sought out new lighting alternatives that would best fit my needs as a visually impaired man, and went the extra mile to make sure all my needs were met. We have used Dodson Builders for two projects now. We started with a bathroom remodel, which we loved. Then moved on and had our garage turned into a living space. Two very different projects, but the outcomes were the same. Quality work!!! Peter and Norman made every effort possible to make sure we were happy with the finished product. I think for us, that's what meant the most to us. Making sure we were happy. Peter has an excellent team and every member of that team has always made us feel like a priority. The service we received from Dodson Builders may just be the best experience that we've EVER experienced from a vendor. We've always valued professionalism and quality over cost and speed, but the Dodson team took it to another level. We began with 4 bids for the construction of a bar/lounge in our formal dining room, and it was no question to move forward with the team despite the (albeit minimal) cost difference. The start to finish, holistic experience that Peter provided at the onset is what separates him. It was clear that his team modeled that approach as well. From the organizational skills of Lisa to Mario's responsiveness to our (sometimes overwhelming) needs, and to the rest of the team, we're extremely satisfied with our decision and of course, the end result.
