He always responded to every question and concern I had promptly and thoroughly. Andy dropped by every day to to ensure everything was running smoothly. The guys on-site all day were also kind and courteous. One thing that really speaks to the excellence of construction is that I have had three different staining companies come to do quotes to stain the deck/porch and all of them have spoken incredibly highly of the work that Frontier did. I would not want anyone else to work on my home!

We had the pleasure of working with Frontier Deck Builders to construct a screened-in porch addition off our family room. From beginning to end, it was a great experience and the result was fabulous! Andy (the owner of the business) was great in the planning stage, helping us to design a porch that was unique and fit perfectly into the back of our house - which was built in 1961. There were several nuances of the job that needed to be addressed, such as mismatched roof lines on our house, and Andy helped us resolve those issues so that the finished result was perfect. The craftmanship of the work is unparalleled. Dave, the lead carpenter, is a true master of his trade. From the ground up – footers to ceiling and roof – the quality is outstanding. Our friends and neighbors who have seen our porch have raved about the detail of the workmanship. And of course, we enjoy it every day. We recently had Frontier Deck Builders add a covered and screened in addition to our existing deck. They did a fantastic job! Because we already had an existing deck, they were able to come up with a great design for the new covered/screened deck that integrated seamlessly into the old deck. Frontier Deck Builders completed for me a deck renovation with low maintenance composite decking and vinyl railings with aluminum balusters. Andy Merz was an absolute pleasure to work with. He listened to my ideas and provided great suggestions. His quote was detailed so that I was able to choose from various options. Work stated on time and was done by a very professional crew who did a terrific job. Andy checked in with me throughout construction to make sure I did not have any concerns. We've worked with several contractors over the years and Andy and his team at FDB is quite frankly the best. His level of customer service is incomparable. Many other contractors will have their crew spend 10-50% of any given week focused on your project and the rest of the week they spend on other customers projects; this juggling only delays all of them and the quality on those projects is likely subpar for many. Think twice before selecting a typical contractor who may sell well, be less expensive than others but nearly guaranteed they will always over promise and under deliver. Andy Merz has allowed me to live a dream. My dream for a decade or two was to remodel my home as a showcase for family and friends. From start to finish, Andy was attentive to the vision that I had. Andy added a bathroom and a sunroom, both with clear, unobstructed views into the woods behind my house. I wonder into these rooms now and stare with disbelief that this is my home. In addition to these two rooms with spectacular views, Andy remodeled my kitchen that is now referred to as the AD (Architectural Digest) kitchen, so sleek, elegant and modern it turned out to be. And to top it off, Andy added his particular specialty, a spacious deck between the new sunroom and new bathroom. I now have a home that is the result of a dream and a caring and attentive contractor. I owe much to Andy and Frontier Deck Builders.

I decided to go with Frontier Deck Builders after obtaining quotes for a deck from a few contractors. The reason being, Mr. Andrew Merz was the only contractor who asked me detailed information on what I wanted in a deck, approximate size, deck material, railing, and stairs, before giving me a quote. Mr. Merz, explained the different deck materials. He was on time for appointments, very pleasant, informative, and made good suggestions. Most of all, Mr. Merz did not try to sell more expensive products. I very much wanted a mahogany deck, and Mr. Merz encouraged me to be sure about what I wanted before finalizing the details. He told me to be sure that I really needed stairs and would use them. I now have a beautiful mahogany deck with stairs, and vinyl railing and aluminum balusters, which do not block the view. He took care of everything from obtaining county permit to the completion of the deck. Ron Meyer was the master carpenter who built my deck. Mr. Merz stopped by often. The work place was always neat and clean. My neighbors and friends admired the deck when it was completed, and some were envious in a nice way. If I have to describe my deck in a single word, it would be “awesome!” One of my neighbors who looked at the deck from the start to finish told me the whole thing was “first class all the way!” Another neighbor told me that my deck made all other decks around look bad! I am very happy with my deck and I wonder how I lived without a deck all these days. I would strongly recommend going with Frontier Deck Builders – you will be happy that you did.

Frontier Deck Builders has done fantastic work for us on multiple projects. They have done interior and exterior work on our home from the installation of an oversize 4-panel door to an outdoor pergola and pavilion around our pool. Andy has helped us overcome architectural challenges on a few of these projects showing his knowledge and competence as a skilled contract professional. FDB brought great design ideas to our projects and all of the employees are always polite, respectful and a pleasure to be around when working at our home. I have given his name to multiple friends who are contemplating a vast array of home improvement projects. I would definitely recommend FDB and will hire them again for future projects.

25' X 15' screened in porch addition to the back of the house with 4 skylights, 8 recessed lights and 2 fans under a pitched roof. Outstanding quality in materials and workmanship and finished on time with a minimum of disruption. We are the envy of the neighborhood. Frontier Deck Builders did an excellent job on our deck renovation. Andrew and his team had the difficult task of coordinating their work with an exterior finish contractor that was completing repairs of our EFIS/Stucco. Our existing deck was completely removed and replaced with low maintenance cap composite decking and vinyl rail with aluminum balusters. Since completion, we have received comments from other contractors on the high quality of their work. I highly recommend them.
