Innovative Kitchen Design

My husband and I had been searching for quite some time for a company that would be able to see what we would like for our kitchen and who could do it. Now we’ve seen enough renovating shows to know that: a). What you want and what can be done are 2 different things b). Money really controls what can be done c). It will always take longer that you expect d). What you may think is the order of what should be done is not We found Innovative Kitchens and I researched them inside and out. I went to the shop/showroom several times. I finally sat down with Tara. She was amazing right from the get go. She listened-that was the most important part. She didn’t do it because she had to. She wanted to know your ideas and what you were looking for and she took it in. She did not throw in her thoughts or ideas while I gave our description of what we were looking for. Once I was done babbling, she offered non intrusive ideas of several possibilities that could also be variations of what we were looking for. I liked that, as it helped you look outside the box. Now, as I stated, we’ve seen a lot of Reno shows and knew what we did and didn’t want, what was possible for our budget and what was realistic for our house and our needs. Now we met with Tara in May of 2017, demo started in end of September and the project was fully and completed mid November 2017. I brought Tara a sketch of how we wanted our kitchen within reason. Now, I am able to draw, but I am not an architect to do architectural drawings. With that being said and I did tell her this, she appreciated the effort and turned our drawing into a beautiful detailed image of our possible kitchen. We all made some tweaks together which was best suited for our needs. But in the end, my drawing was not far off from our final product. We went with white shaker cabinets and white (not solid)quartz countertops. Our island is massive but suited for our needs. It’s also slate colour base with the white countertop. We wanted two tone kitchen because why not and I do find it to be a classic look. We have a cast iron single bowl sink situated in the centre of the inside of the island. We have various levels of metal as in nickel, black stainless, brushed nickel and brushed black copper. Again I prefer various levels of depth in colour. It looks amazing! Tara was there every step of the way! Whatever questions or concerns I had, she was there at the end of the phone and if I requested or required her to be at my home, she made it possible. If she was in a meeting or with another client, she would tell you and then she would call you as soon as she was able to. As much as you’d like to be, YOU’RE NOT their only client-please remember that. Tara was very very professional and we appreciated her patience, honesty and artistic eye. Jeff was the main Reno person we dealt with. He was also great! That guy was being pulled in so many directions, but he was also able to be there for you if you had questions, concerns or explanations for how things work aka the work schedule. Again what you think the order of things are in renovations is not remotely. That I find partly in part due to the Reno shows and our lack of knowledge of trade schedules. But really though, instead of getting angry or frustrated just ask and they’ll tell you! Would I recommend this company, for price, workmanship and quality ,absolutely!! I would highly recommended anyone to speak with Tara, as she has an amazing eye for what you are looking for after listening to what you would like. And truthfully, if you’ve spoken with many designers and they still “don’t get it” maybe it’s not them, maybe it’s your description of what you’re looking for. Just make sure you are honest and realistic with yourself and your needs. We love our kitchen. It’s very big! Being Italian, I never have enough room . Happy renovations

I had a complete kitchen over haul. Gutted everything and started from scratch. I consider myself lucky that I started with Modern Hardwood because they were terrific. Any issues were dealt with quickly. And in turn, I was lucky that thru them, I got Tara Hollingworth as my kitchen designer. She was so friendly, helpful, funny and never got flustered. She was awesome. We had fun doing the planning and the fact she was so careful and diligent in the planning etc made things run smoothly.

I used Innovative kitchen this summer. Had nothing but good interactions with staff memebers. The kitchen turned out great, I am very happy with the result. There was a small issue with one of the panels and they can back, replaced the panel and made it look great

We received exceptional quality and install expertise of our Luxor cabinets and Cambria quartz countertops. We much appreciated the professional services of our designer Tara, site supervisor Jeff and the entire IKD team. Despite challenges of inevitable delays and minor corrections, IKD ensured that our every expectation was met for a beautiful kitchen and interior reno of superb quality.

From the beginning to the completion everything was as promised. The company also gave us advice as to who would be good choices for the extra services we required such as the tear out and disposal of the old kitchen and appliances. The installers were diligent and neat. We were very impressed with their work ethic.

We had an exceptional experience working with the team here. From the time we walked in, to the date of installation everything was very smooth. Our Designer Tara was great at helping us plan our dream kitchen from our personal ideas. Pierre was fantastic at keeping us in the loop during all the finalizing, right up until the end. Our Custom Kitchen is more than we expected, and fit perfectly into the budget. Thank you again, it is a job well done!

They were great from the design process to the install...always recommend.....the bathroom in the granny suite looks great...would use again
