M Squared Design - Architecture

We added an addition to our house. Mark listened to our needs and wants, met with us a number of times, kept the project within our budget, he was timely and helpful.

We hired Mark to take on the task of correcting and enhancing our house plan that was done by another. Mark took a structure whose outside dimensions could not be altered and created an interior that was creative, more esthetically pleasing and useable. The curving stairway took our boring entry area to one that will be the focal point in our home. Mark also made practical changes that gave us more storage and easier and logical access to different parts of the house. He made the interior more interesting. Mark was patient and provided suggestions and ideas that will ultimate make our home beautiful. He expedited the permit process in a timely fashion. My only regret is that we did not begin our design with Mark. Thank you Mark.

Mark did an amazing job in conceptualizing our ideas and putting them to paper. He was very patient considering we had him make numerous changes throughout the design phase of this project which probably took longer than the actual construction itself. When it came time to selecting a contractor he offered his assistance which was invaluable. Mark was there every step of the way throughout the entire construction phase and made sure the contractor followed every detail of his design. The finished job was pretty awesome. Mark Matsumoto is a 5-star architect! We've worked with several different architects over the past 25 years on new constructions and remodels and Mark was the best. Super fast, detailed-oriented, and professional. And with his history and experience in the field, was incredibly helpful in keeping us on track and on budget for this project. He worked with all of our dream pictures, magazine cutouts and vague ideas and turned them into a functional reality. One of the things that blew us away about Mark was his speed. He would consistently get back to me on emails, voicemails and texts within minutes most of the time. In fact, once after sending an email and NOT getting a response right away I double-checked and found that I had addressed the email incorrectly! Sure enough, after correcting it, I got my response :) I can 100% recommend Mark for his skills, experience and integrity.

Mark was great. He's fast, professional and responsive. He helped me stay on budget and keep focused on what I was trying to achieve with my project. When I saw my plans, they were better than I had imagined. If you want to get things done quickly, he's your guy.
