Peter Cole is a true professional. We called Peter when we bought our 1950's colonial and he did a masterful job on our complete renovation. We couldn't have been happier with the results and i truly think we have the best looking house on our street. When we decided to "finish" our basement he was our first and only call. He is very creative, has a great eye and most importantly can put up with me and my husband's constant changes and he does it all with grace. Cant say enough good things about Peter!

Peter Cole is not only a master of architectural design -- he's also a skilled communicator and a warm and caring human being who truly takes his clients' interests to heart. We hired Peter to guide us through a complete renovation of our house, which was built in the 1920's and needed lots of work. Peter listened to what we wanted, introduced us to several outstanding general contractors to select from, helped us negotiate price with the general contractor we selected and did an excellent job keeping the project on schedule and ensuring that the work that was done met his exacting standards. Peter attends both to the overall big picture and to the thousand small details that make the difference between a job that is merely acceptable and one that is outstanding. He preserved the traditional aspects of the house that we loved while adding graceful new touches and using space in a way suited to a modern family. We've gotten many compliments on the look and feel of our "new" house.

We hired Peter as our consultant architect for our house renovation/rebuild and could not have been happier with the services provided. His contribution to the project was indispensable and without his expertise, advice and guidance we are certain we would not have been nearly as happy with the final outcome. He reworked the original floorplan, advised on ceiling/window height, designed various bespoke millwork pieces and advised us on choices for practically every detail from floorplan to finishing touches. In addition, he was a pleasure to work with and was always available to us when we needed his services or attendance at a meeting.

Peter designed a major renovation for our home in 2015, 23 years after a first renovation/expansion when we purchased the house in 1992. On both occasions, he did a fantastic job -- the perfect combination of providing insight and creativity where we were in need of them, and brilliantly executing on our vision when we had ideas of our own. These were big jobs, and Peter was on top of every detail, with limitless suggestions for designs, materials and other features that blended together perfectly. We wouldn't consider doing a project another with another architect, and we couldn't be any more happy with his work or enthusiastic in our recommendation of him to our friends and neighbors.

I hired Peter as the architect to design my new kitchen and adjacent sunroom and deck. First, his design was just wonderfully perfect in every sense and detail. And he was there the entire process, including, the design phase, the bid to to the contractor, the contract, working with the Town, and most importantly, overseeing the construction itself, working alongside me as a consultant. When issues arose with regard to the construction and the contractor, Peter even worked as the intermediary. His exemplary professionalism, his experience, his expertise, his integrity, and his dedication, and pride, were paramount from the beginning to the end, and we are forever thankful and appreciative for it.

Peter Cole designed the addition and renovation for our home. He was outstanding to work with from beginning to end. He took careful consideration of all of our wants and needs in the expansion of our home, and accomplished all of our goals with his plan. In addition, throughout the project he worked very well with our contractor and interior designer,. I would highly recommend Peter and his team!

We've worked with Peter Cole on two different renovation projects, one fairly small in scope several years ago and one a great deal larger during 2013 - 2014. On both projects, he was thoroughly professional, focused, attentive, and responsive. He's a pleasure to work with not only because of his expertise, but also because of his patience and overall good nature. The second project required long hours over many months, flexibility when demolition work brought unexpected issues to light, and all kinds of problem solving throughout. Peter met every challenge more than capably from beginning to end, and the finished results get compliments every single day. We thoroughly enjoyed working with him and can't recommend him highly enough.

Peter designed and oversaw every detail of our renovation which turned a cold ugly house into a warm, inviting home. His incorporation of our wishes in a wonderfully creative way led to a result which includes everything we wanted and produced a house that is both comfortable and impressive.

We had an extremely difficult project involving a 1928 English tudor gut renovation, with many roof lines, and complex angels. Peter was flawless in his execution and his imaginative skills as we modeled an ideal home within the confines of old world original tudor details. He was always available to us and went the extra mile on several occasions. I would reccommend his serivices without hesitaion

We hired Peter Cole to design our dream home and he absolutely nailed it! We would highly recommend Peter for any architectural work. Peter's first step was just listening. He wanted to learn, not only about what we liked and didn't like, but also about how we lived. He looked about our then-current home, studied our furniture and our lifestyle, skiing questions about things that we gravitated toward and away from to really get inside our heads. Our site also presented some unique challenges as well as opportunities. Peter spent quite a bit of time study that as well, exploring what he could leverage and what he needed to work around to design the home we wanted. His first sketch surprised us in that he really understood what we were looking for, in many respects better than what we had visualized in our minds. In particular, Peter was able to bring the outdoors (and the views) into the entire home, creating great, comfortable spaces for all of our needs. From that point, we faced relatively minor changes between that first draft and the final plans that we used to build our home. Peter was great at providing feedback on our suggestions/changes without creating confrontation or problems for us and our goals. Peter even worked with our town's oversight departments to help them understand (and ultimately approve) novel design elements that were critical to our goals. Our town's officers were rather conservative and 'new' was challenging for them. But Peter was patient, teaching them about the benefits of the new designs, getting us what we needed in time. Peter then stayed on to supervise our contractor's work in building the house. He did a great job, coming more often than needed to help ride herd on what ended up being a poor selection on our part with regard to our GC (we should have listened more to Peter's suggestions on who to select). Peter has since stayed in touch with us. He has followed up with us, asking about various aspects from time to time, to make sure we are continuing to enjoy the home. He has also continued to actively help us, supporting our ongoing work with our contractors. I would not hesitate using his services again should the opportunity arise.

Peter designed a complete renovation of our 1950s flat-roofed contemporary ranch in 2005-2006. This involved a large addition, a complete change of the roof line, new siding and windows and all new interior fixtures and finishes.
