Roos Construction was the general contractor and constructor involved in the design and construction of our cottage on Smallian Lake. Accuracy in design and construction - as well as a strong knowledge of local suppliers and subs led to an quality product that has stood the test of time with many good times had over the past ten years. Their flexibilty - allowed me to come in and do the interior finishing - as I had requested. Great team. Great product.

Aaron is a great guy and easy to work with. He has proven to be professional, timely, follows instruction well and is good at what he does!

We purchased a cottage that originally was on cinder blocks which we literally falling over. We hired Roos Construction to construct an insulated foundation. We required ventilation underneath and they recommended windows opposed to just grills and the effect makes the cottage look larger and it also provides more light. They were on time and on budget and we were so pleased that we then hired them to do the outside siding and install windows lakeside. We also had them put up tongue and groove pine in the main entrance (used to be drywall). That room looks amazing! They have great vision and are easy to work with. We would highly recommend their services.

Aaron was hired to create custom wood carvings on tree stumps. The artwork was high quality and reasonably priced while done in a timely fashion.

Friends of ours hired Roos Construction to finish their basement, and after seeing the high quality result of that project, we decided to hire them to re-do our kitchen. We recently bought a nice old house in Centretown, and the kitchen was in desperate need of updating. We had a vision of what we wanted the finished product to look like and Aaron, the owner of Roos Construction, worked with us to ensure that we ended up with exactly what we wanted. The house is not without its challenges - both the floor and ceiling were out of level by about 3 inches from one end of the room to the other. Aaron did a great job of leveling the floor prior to putting down the tile. When installing the upper cabinets, he implemented an approach to make them look great despite the room being crooked. We're really happy with the finished product, and glad to have gone with Roos Construction for this job!

Had Aaron replaced 3 basement windows, Aaron looked after all aspects of the job including measuring and ordering new windows, Installation and inside trip replacement. Painting and finishing work. Very pleased with the finished product.

Roos Construction built a pine sided cottage for me four years ago. They worked in a fairly remote area with difficult access for supply drop off, electricity and accommodation. They were able to make it work. They also worked with me to keep as many mature trees as possible and to leave the property in its original condition. They were great to work with from planning to execution. I've never seen a group of fellows who like their jobs so much, even worked late on Friday's. The structure itself is well constructed -- pad and post foundation, about 950 square feet, one bedroom on the main floor with an upper loft, metal roof and large deck on two sides. Pine siding on the outside and tongue and groove pine inside. They helped me keep to my budget by sourcing some used windows and some new. Been here four years, with no complaints. All in all, a great experience.

We hired Roos Construction to build a 4 season 2 car garage for our cottage with a second story studio/workshop in the summer of 2014. We started with a sketchy design of what we were looking for and Aaron and his father John (who built our original cottage in 1990) were able to construct exactly what we wanted with a few adjustments here and there which turned out to be really good. The end result is actually better than we had expected. They were able to keep close to our budget and completed the project before the winter which was very critical for us. Throughout the project they showed patience and were always respectful of our requirements but never shy to suggest alternatives when necessary. We valued and trusted their suggestions. Some of the construction details with the second floor dormers and open spaces presented a bit of a challenge but we were extremely pleased with the final construction and quite confident that it will be able to withstand our sometimes harsh winters. Full disclosure: I have known John Roos for over 50 years, and before becoming medically disabled was one of his partners in construction. I have known Aaron his entire life, and I was still working when Aaron joined us as a helper when he was a teenager. I have personally watched as Aaron's competence and abilities grew at a rate that far exceeded and of my expectations. Anyone who hires Roos Construction will receive the benefits of a family who has spent their lifetimes learning and doing construction. There is no area of the trades in which they are not fully knowledgeable and competent. Additionally, John and Aaron are excellent designers and problem solvers.. Most of all, John and Aaron approach every job with the customer's best interest in mind. They are more than just competent contractors: they are people of integrity with whom anyone can put their trust. I cannot put enough emphasis on this last statement. I do wish that everyone who needs a Professional finds one as great as Roos Construction! - highly competent, - friendly, - listen and understand to demands of customers, - doesn't try to cheat and cut corners (and you know how frequent that is!) - reasonable prices Seriously, renos are stressful enough, but he made the whole thing completely worry free. I do hope to work with this company again.

Firstly, I can't recommend Roos Construction highly enough for any level of remodeling or renovation jobs you may be doing. We recently used Roos Construction to finish the basement of our bungalow. My wife is expecting shortly and we wanted the house to be fully finished before the little one arrives. Roos construction quickly designed a 3D model of what our basement layout would be based on our requirements and then started immediatly with correctly insulating the basement, correcting some moisture issues left by the builder and framing for an additionnal custom bathroom in the basement. We knew it would be tight with time constraints but Aaron from Roos Construction absolutely pulled through for us. I also really appreciated how hard they all worked towards keeping the remodel on schedule and within our budget. Remodeling, or any kind of renovation, (whether big or small) can be very stressful, but having Roos Construction as our contractor really helped alleviate the majority of our concerns and I will definitely be calling him for any future renovation needs we may have.
