RTA Cabinet Store

TLDR: 22k worth of assembled cabinets. Poor customer service that never calls back forcing you to constantly follow up. They offered an insulting refund of only $250 when contractor fees and time easily quadrupled that. Endless amount of time required over the phone to rectify issues and time removed from work to be available for deliveries. Save your time, effort and money and purchase elsewhere. I purchased 22k worth of cabinets. Design process was lengthy, but tolerable. Only thing distasteful was the upsell and the pressure to purchase immediately. 1st delivery: only 3 cabinets that were not functioning correctly, 3 missing items. Easy enough reporting system requiring photos and descriptions - they were approved and sent out. 2nd delivery: I would expect better care and better quality control seeing as these were replacements. However, the replacement 3 cabinets were still not functioning correctly, and 1 was incorrectly replaced. 2/3 of the missing items were sent. I filled out the reporting system with required photos and descriptions and called customer service to discuss the cabinets thoroughly. Customer service - sub par. They initially did not understand the problem with the cabinet that was sent, and told me they would call back with a solution - no call back. I want to say there was a lot of back and forth, but it was mostly me calling for updates regarding the order and potential refund - day after day. I tried emails, but those were ignored. If I wanted answers and progress, I had to call in. They reassured me the other items in my order would be handled, but after calling again to verify and get a confirmation email, it seemed like that was not the case. Now, I am waiting on my 3rd delivery. Construction will be delayed for about 3 weeks. I am being charged by my contractor for some time, but more importantly, I am out of my home during this time. This is a huge inconvenience, and quite disappointing that charges a premium for assembled cabinets. They have offered $250 for my inconvenience. I would rather warn others about ordering from this company than accept a 1% refund. Addendum: After placing my review on 8/7/25, I received an e-mail from Mike Catini, the customer success manager, to discuss things. We agreed on 8/11 at 1:00 p.m. Mike called me at 1:42 p.m., further exemplifying the company’s wonderful customer service and respect for their customers. During our conversation, he did not apologize for the inconvenience, or the money wasted on this product so far. Further, it was evident that he did not do much to research my complaint. He had little knowledge of my issues, or the reasons for my dissatisfaction. The conversation ended with him saying that he would make sure that my order was correct with his associate. Again, there was no apology or acknowledgement of these significant inconveniences. To this date my review has not been posted on their website, which I find suspicious and quite dishonest.

This was not my first time ordering ready to assemble (RTA) cabinets and not my first time ordering from RTA Cabinet Store. I knew what to expect in terms of assembly which may not be for every home owner. Received my pallet of cabinets and of course I was missing my 8' sticks of trim and toe kick. It was noted on the BOL and they were sent out without issue. You HAVE to do a thorough inventory check of every piece and inspect every box for damage. This must be done right away. I had a couple that looked like they could be damaged so I opened them up. One was very damaged. The box appeared to have been wet and sure enough, a few of the pieces had a black substance all over and the pieces had delaminated. Not sure how this particular box made it out their door. A new cabinet was immediately sent out along with the missing trim. The quality of the cabinets are top notch in my opinion. The method of assembly wasn't the best so I refrained from using so many staples and opted for more glue and more angled plastic connecter pieces I had from previous jobs. Aside from what I previously mentioned, here are MY ISSUES. The face frame has a top and bottom. This is not disclosed anywhere and caused problems when I went to install the cabinet doors. The reason, the predrilled holes for the hinges are offset so some of the cabinets that were upside down, I had to measure and predrill. I do not recall this issue from my previous orders. I ordered a shaker style door/drawer and all the drawer cabinets came with smooth faced fronts. They shipped the shaker drawer fronts separate which is fine I guess but none of them were predrilled. This resulted in the need for precision measuring and drilling so that the drawer front was level. So stupid. Halfway through, I decided to use the smooth front as a template and used a slightly bigger drill bit to allow for some wiggle room. I was also short shelf clips. And the cabinet hinge screws seemed to be mismatched from package to package; some being small or larger and having different heads. Quality cabinets and overall, one of the better assembly processes despite the over-use of staples.

Incredibly disappointing - and not cheap. Low quality cabinets that come from mismatched suppliers in low cost countries, followed by absolutely abysmal customer service and design support. They do a great job with the website and sales team up front, but you had better pray that nothing goes awry because they literally could not care less. I needed cabinets quickly and that is the one thing they do well, but if you're able to plan ahead, take the time to find a better provider. I cannot stress how much RTA Cabinet Store should be avoided.

Terrible place for customer service. Just try to get a manager or supervisor on the phone. To answer a question. You will waste a lot of time by phone, chat and email. And never get a response.

I've bought a few kitchens from this company , the customer service is horrible .I'm ready to place another order , and I have a couple of questions . i called a few times and no one was available , so I ask them to call me back . no response . so no more .

The designer we worked with entered our order incorrectly in June. The company "guarantees" the cabinets will ship within 3 business days, but it's almost September and the replacements haven't arrived. Don't risk dealing with RTA if you care about schedule or getting the right cabinets.

One and done. I took the risk after being referred to this company by a colleague. I don't even know where to start - If you have a schedule to maintain - this is not who you want to purchase through. Buyer beware and it seems this company is only a middle man for their "vendors" and when issues arise they have to contact their "vendors" who have 24-48 hours to reply to them. My order actually still shows that it hasn't been delivered on their website. RTA Customer service is accessible, but they don't really have any answers so what's the point? My order arrived multiple weeks later than the "no later than" date I was provided during the ordering process, multiple cabinets had some form of damage or imperfection on them requiring a claim, and it's been another 3 weeks and still no replacement pieces. Meanwhile I have no kitchen and can't schedule my counter measurement because I'm waiting on replacement pieces to get the base cabinets installed. Classic "you get what you pay for" and "if it seems too good to be true." Inspect your order upon delivery & verify its all there on the delivery receipt BEFORE you sign it, after that, open up everything and inspect - photograph as you go & document which pieces are damaged so you don't have to re-open everything. File the claim within the required 48 hours - and be a squeaking wheel with RTA Customer Service. My claim was approved 3 days after I filed it, but after RTA sent it to their "vendor" it took over 3 weeks to receive the parts. I requested expedited service and was told that was not available - but the parts arrived via UPS, not a freight carrier. Overall disappointed and would not recommend.

I ordered cabinets and received the order with wrong/missing hardware. It took two weeks to speak to customers service, on a follow up call the representatives hung up on me. I will never order from this company again and I don't recommend them. Until now, I'm still scrambling to receive the missing hardwares. 2/9/2021. Nicole was able to step in and resolve issues. I finally received the missing hardwares. I'm revising my 1* rating.

Really wish I had read these reviews before ordering. Im waiting on an order I placed with them and now is on back order, Ive left many messages and can not get a return call from anyone. Ive left messages, sent emails, called every number and nothing. Incredibly disappointing as my entire kitchen is on hold now waiting for them, I loved the sample I got but it isnt worth the wait and the hassle thats happening now, Buyer Beware

I feel like this company took advantage that of me. My kitchen was just under 12k. I was told certain cabinets would fit appliances that I provided exact specs and they don’t, brand new cabinets and paint is coming off on the edges. I’ve emailed and called numerous times with no answer or promises of call backs and no response. We have to make it work because I have no kitchen and they won’t get back to me. I have appliances in boxes in my kitchen and I can’t wait for RTA. Luckily my husband has the skills to be able to alter the cabinets that were recommended and don’t work but it’s not going to look the way it should. I am extremely disappointed in the service and I wish I did not give this company my hard earned money. There are so many companies with similar product and I’m sure they would have called me back or maybe even answered the phone. I will probably file a BBB complaint if I don’t hear from anyone soon. I’ve left a review on google, an email 3 days ago to their customer service and a voice mail last week. We’ll see if someone gets back to me. If not we will be driving to the office which is not too far away from me and they will have to have me physically removed if they try to ignore me then. So so disappointed.

Im wiring this review to warn anyone considering using this company!!! I ordered 4 sample doors with the intent to purchase my entire kitchen. The 4 doors came damaged and chipped. I have been trying for 1 month (4 emails and 3 phone calls) to get my money back for damaged goods. I even tried to ship them back but they still have not emailed the promised shipping label. The company is completely incompetent. I'm just glad that I only ordered samples! I couldn't imagine spending over $10,000 in cabinets and having to deal with this horrible customer service. Beware you can't actually talk to anyone... it's just an answering service when you call. Then they take a message and tell you someone will call you back. But I waited 4 days and no call back. I called again... waited 3 days and no call back....I called a 3rd time....and I'm still waiting for my call back! I'm so glad I went with another company.

I accepted the risk of doing business with this company and now I regret it. I initially ordered three sample doors. When I received them one of the samples was the incorrect model. I went back to their website to contact them about it and that's when I discovered they have no phone number to call regarding orders or customer service. You have to file a claim and wait. I never heard back from them but did eventually received the correct sample. I was hesitant to order from them after they managed to mess up a simple sample order and based off of all the negative reviews. I contacted the manufacturer of the model I like and unfortunately RTA Cabinet Store is the only distribute. I gambled and placed an order. The order arrived yesterday, unannounced. Lucky for us we were home. Of the six cabinets I orders, one is the incorrect model and one is missing. I'm sure this is going to be a huge hassle. This company is completely incompetent.

Buyer Beware! Absolute nightmare!! We ordered cabinets April 5th. Had only half of them ship out right away. They put the rest on backorder until mid May. When the May date came...they again backordered the rest till June. When the June date came around they again backordered them until July. This has repeated every month!! And now here we are in August with an unfinished Kitchen! Two weeks ago they confirmed all of our cabinets were finally in. Than a week later they said oh no sorry all but one are in and those in will ship within 5-7 days. 10 days later I heard nothing! So we called again and they said oh none are actually in and wont be untill 8/31. NOW they have the nerve to ask if we'd like to pick different cabinet sizes!!! All this even though when i placed the order they assured me they had no issues with getting bo cabinets in right away. This is totally unacceptable after almost 5 months to not have all the cabinets!

Love our new cabinets. Disappointed we couldn't order some additional doors for cabinets that needed to be reworked due to measuring mistake on our part. Still waiting for replacement cabinets. Great quality product!

Great product at a great price. Great customer service when our shipment was dropped by the shipping company. Replaced the damaged cabinets. A+ to Anne in claims department.

RTA was a pleasure to work with. From the online design portion to working with Eric in the showroom, the process was easy with all steps laid out clearly. Eric helped us out a lot with a few tweaks and options for the cabinets. The stone gray Was the perfect color for us. We just wish there was a blue color option as we wanted a blue island. Assembly was easy other than moving the heavier boxes into the house. The 30” wide pantry box was 185 pounds. The cabinets went together easily with the plywood routed out and screw holes marked. The instructions are not perfect but the cabinets are just boxes so there were no major issues. Using wood glue as recommended made the cabinets very sturdy. Two separate contractors quoted us at $12k for the cabinets, but RTA ended up just shy of $3600 which included shipping. We are very happy with everything; options, communication, price, and quality.

Arcadia/Arlington White Shaker, 15 cabinets: ok product. The face frame and doors and drawer faces were fine. However, about one per cabinet cams broke; there were missing supports;and, the pre-drilled holes for the supports that remained were wrong by about 3/8". Generally, because there seemed to be an error in about every box, the boxes required additional gluing, stapling, and supports.

We invest in rentals and fixer uppers. Many of them require a new kitchen. It has been great to have an affordable option to put in great quality cabinets. For our latest fixer upper we picked the Elegant White Shaker. The results were stunning! The only request we have is that touch up kits become available to purchase for EVERY cabinet line. That would be very beneficial. We will continue to use RTA Cabinet Store for our kitchen cabinet purchases.

Adam helped us with the design and layout of our kitchen. He was really helpful and patient with us, he listened to what we were looking for and helped design a kitchen that fit the layout we were looking for. He even mocked up a few additional options so we could see what it would look like. We highly recommend you stop by their design showroom if you're local (as we did) but I'm sure they can help just as much via online. The 3D rendering showed us what the cabinets would look like once they were all installed and it really helped us visualize the final product - much better than the measured technical drawings did. We assembled and installed the cabinets ourselves and it was pretty straightforward. It did take a little time on the first one but after that we got into a rhythm. We glued all the joints and also nailed (18 gauge pneumatic) when the joint would be hidden. An extra set of hands is highly recommended just to help hold the pieces as you're assembling - made it much easier. Overall we're very pleased with the quality/looks/value these cabinets offer. The soft close doors and drawers are great.

Adam Hughes is very helpful. He assisted me with my kitchen designs and cabinets selection. At first, I was skeptical to order cabinets online. Eventually, I used RTA Cabinets in 2016 for my smaller project in Spring Hills, Florida as a trial. Good quality cabinets at competitive price. Well satisfied. Later in February 2017, I order full kitchen and bathrooms cabinets for 2321 square feet home. This rehab with RTA cabinets came out outstanding! I am a Satisfied customer, no complains and about to place an order for third and a bigger project RTA cabinets.

I had a great experience with RTA. The whole process was well documented on their website and through their great email communications. I was not surprised by any step in the process. When I did have some minor damage on a piece of cabinetry , I knew exactly what i needed to do and how to do it. Cabinets where easy to assemble with a little youtubing and common sense. The white cabinets are Elegant white shaker and the island cabinets are Cognac Shaker.

I bought an oak bathroom vanity on line from RTA Cabinet Store. Their website assured me the vanity contained NO particle board. That much is true. However, parts of the vanity are plywood covered with a plastic laminate. I don't mind the plywood, but I do mind the plastic. I was planning to stain this vanity dark chocolate brown. That's out of the question now. However, RTA never promised me that I would receive a vanity that was stainable....so I am giving them a 4 star rating. I wish I could stain the vanity, but even as the vanity is, it's superior to the particle board junk that the "Big Box" home improvement stores sell. And the price was a bargain.....so 4 stars for RTA Cabinet Store.

I installed my cabinets from the RTA Cabinet Store in May 2017 and I love them! I highly recommend this product for someone looking for high-end cabinets and is willing to put a little extra work into assembly. The upper cabinets were all assembled in one evening. The base cabinets took a full Saturday morning to assemble. The cabinets I purchased are gorgeous maple cabinets with all wood boxes and maple veneer on all outward facing panels. One thing I would say is that you have to expect to take on the role of contractor when you buy these cabinets. There is always the possibility of shipping damage with any RTA products you buy. In my case, it just took a little wood glue and clamps to repair some non-outward facing panels. No big deal and I saved thousands on my cabinets. You also want to take advantage of the RTA Cabinet Store design consultants. While they are not designers, their input is crucial to understanding some of the things a do-it-yourselfer might miss like blind corners, door-swings, etc.

RTAcabinetstore was a fantastic company to work with, from the start of our kitchen redesign project to the very end. We were so impressed with the quality of the cabinets, including the standard soft close doors and drawers. The customer service reps were knowledgeable any time we called for support, and Adam helped us navigate the showroom for options and upgrades. Thanks for helping us make our dream kitchen become a reality!!

When shopping for my cabinets, I read a bunch of reviews. I read a number of the reviews here on Houzz. I have to say, I cannot imagine what the negative reviewers are talking about. From start to finish, I had amazing service, helping me with every step of the process, even helping me choose things for the kitchen they didn't even sell! The shipping company damaged one cabinet, and without even asking me to wait for a return, they shipped one out the highest priority to not have my install date pushed back. Amazing company, awesome products, customer service A++. I can't recommend them enough.

We are very pleased with our new cabinets. The quality went beyond our expectations. The sales rep was very helpful. I would recommend RTA to anyone looking for new cabinets. Even the trucking company that delivered them was exceptional. Great product, great price and real quality. We are almost done, just need to finish the trim work. Maybe some under cabinet lighting too. RTA is the BEST ! ! !

Seriously they are the worst to deal with. Worst customer service ever. No one ever answers the phone or returns messages. They shorted me a cabinet, and then sent me one cabinet that was completely different than the website. Now they want me to pay return shipping for their error. Seriously, do yourself a favor, and do business with a company that actually values its customers. This one does not. Also, most of our cabinets had scratches, and were warped severely. I have one with a huge stripe down the middle of it.

Be very leery of the quality of their product. I have attached photos of the cabinets I purchased. This damage was done by my 14-month-old daughter. She was pulling, opening and shutting them like a normal child would do. The results are below. I expected a bit of a reduction in quality given the price but I did not expect this. What is really bizarre is; after showing these photos to RTA Cabinet store, they stood behind their quality. Since this was not normal wear and tear they could not do anything about it. I bought these cabinets 6 MONTHS AGO! Unreal, give someone else your business, please!

My wife and I are new homeowners and when we were searching for our new home, it was important to us to find a place without a newly remodeled kitchen. We didn't want to pay the price for someone's upgrade that wasn't going to fit our taste anyway. Well upon purchasing our home we got a kitchen that was in desperate need to revival. And I mean desperate. Wanting to save money and do it ourselves, we did a lot of planning and research. The task really started to look daunting for awhile there. I brought up the idea on numerous occasions that we might be biting off more than we could chew. Ultimately, when we found The RTA Store, things started to look up. Browsing the options they have incredible high end cabinets and accessories that we couldn't find anywhere else for the price. We quickly did the math and realized that we could take on this project ourselves, working with The RTA Store, for a better price than we could find from someone even like Home Depot. For the price of the high end cabinet styles, we would have looked at a step above builder's grade cabinets from Home Depot. They of course have the nice bonus of contractors who can install the projects for you, but if you have ever been down that road with Home Depot once, more often than not you are never going to want to go down it again. Not only were we taking advantage of reasonable prices, we had the privilege to work with superior staff all throughout. The designers were very skilled and worked with us meticulously to help us design what will work best within our given space and helped us come up with beautiful ideas that we never would have thought of on our own! What felt even more special was the involvement we saw from the Ackerman's (the owners). They showed that no matter how big or small your order is, your patronage is valued to them. Our cabinets were shipped to us faster than we were expecting. The RTA Store used a quality shipping service who even helped us move our two pallets of cabinets into our garage. The last time i ordered something from Home Depot, the driver refused to even move our items to the back of his truck. He claimed that his job description only states that he has to drive deliverables from point A to point B and open the door. We are decently handy people, but have never assembled a kitchen before. What we found to be very helpful was that we could easily find YouTube videos that were specifically produced for RTA Store products, as well as instructions that were included with each cabinet. What was also a life saver is that each cabinet came with spare parts (screws brackets, etc). I don't know if you have purchased something from Home Depot, Ikea, Etc before to find out you are short 1-3 screws, but it is such a defeating moment when you are two steps from being done. We definitely did not have that problem. In fact, we were able to complete our entire install in just a weekend. I wouldn't say that there weren't times that we both wanted to scream at inanimate objets, but the whole process was sooooo much easier than it could have been if we went a different route. We are very thankful for that. I would highly recommend that anyone looking to do a remodel for your kitchen, whether it is on your own or even looking for a contractor to install your cabinets. Shop for your products on The RTA Store. We couldn't be happier, and we have our eyes on a new vanity next! Ha!

Great customer service, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE delivery. Your cabinets will show up on a truck with no lift gate, and no pallet jack. You will be expected to have a team standing by to offload 1500-1700 pounds of cabinets, piece by piece, and you're given a 6 hour delivery window in the middle of the work day. So unless you're independently wealthy and don't need to work, you'll have to take time off work to accept delivery ... AND you'll need to persuade at least 1 or 2 of your friends to do the same. Or you'll have to hire some burly young guys to stand around all afternoon waiting for your delivery. RTA Store "has contracts with drivers" that require them to wait NO MORE THAN 30 minutes for you to offload everything, perform inspection for damage, and conduct a piece count. 30 minutes. I've spoken to several shipping reps from RTA, and they're firm on this answer. "We're an internet-based company, we can't talk with all of our customers before they buy," I was told. "Your order is too large for a lift gate," they said. Unbelievable. I'll say the designer I worked with was very friendly, and their prices are unbeatable, but nobody mentioned the little shipping caveat until AFTER I had spend $6300 on cabinets. So before you jump down this rat-hole, compare the savings of RTA against the added cost of hiring people to stand around all afternoon waiting for the delivery.

Great cabinet company to purchase from. They will help you our on providing a layout for your kitchen and brink up an issues. Great quality and great product.

I cannot say enough bad things about this company. I will make it short though: Shipping: We followed all their instructions but the shipping company would not. They made my wife and disabled dad search every single box while they stood their and would not release the packages until they did so. This caused us to have to unpackage everything all at once instead of some sort of method so everything got more mixed up. Horrible. Damage: Every box was damaged and every piece was damaged. Claims: We submitted claims and they said new stuff was on their way so we destroyed out kitchen. They later told us that they needed more information on which pieces were damaged. We told them we cannot figure out which pieces were damaged again if we dont put them together since its in a pile of wood because of their shipping people. They eventually let us put them together and we lowered the amount of claims just so we can actually get our stuff. I have called every day for awhile now and they wont pick up the phone or return my calls. They wont return our emails. It has been about 3 weeks since they sent us an email back but they wont take our claim. We sent them about 100 pictures of all the damages a ton of emails. I dont know why we spent all this time on this. I think they just wanna wear people down until they dont fight anymore. Customer Service: They are nice and friendly and make you think they are going to help. Just havent seen any results from telling them my issues.

We always suggest RTA for our kitchen and bath remodels, They are Well made, have fast delivery, emit low VOC (pass California standard which we don't have in Virginia!) And RTA gives Excellent customer service. Another wonderful perk is I can design the kitchen or bathroom using their built-in design tool. I save money and sell more cabinets! Even though the cabinets have always been easy to assemble RTA has made it even easier. The whole team can assemble, not just my trim guys... it gives my painters something to do while the rest of the team does demo.

While I can't remark on all of their cabinet models, I can say that their West Point Grey cabinets are absolute junk, their customer service is horrible and they do not stand behind their warranty. Buyers beware! They advertise these cabinets as having solid hardwood face frames and doors. This is a complete misrepresentation. Sure they are solid wood, but undoubtedly a softwood. A light scratch of the fingernail will damage the finish and with just slight force, you can and will easily gauge the doors or face frames. The out-of-box quality and damage has been endless. If I could post 30 photos in this review, then I would. The so-called hardwood pieces were riddled with indentations upon arrival simply from the weight inside the boxes (see pics). The cabinets did not even withstand careful assembly. In one case, the fabric from a shirt brushed a cabinet piece and the finish literally peeled right off the wood. Some doors arrived assembled to the face frames, but the doors need to be removed for cabinet installation. The wood of the face frames is so soft, that removing the hinge screws and reinstalling them weakens the screw holes that have to hold up long term for functionality of the doors. It will be a very short time before the doors literally fall out of the face frames due to the soft wood they are made of and there were already problems by the time installation was complete. The doors cannot hold up to drilling pilot holes for hardware without major splitting. Their solution (after the fact) was to use a "trick" as shown in a Menard's video they sent. Umm, isn't it too late to share necessary tricks after the fact? Their trick for using a clamp to hold a piece of wood behind the door while drilling did assist (not entirely though), however the "hardwood" doors cannot withstand the pressure from the clamps and will left indentations in the doors. This is the 3rd kitchen in several years I have done and the other hardwood doors did not require any tricks, nor did they split. While they did (with difficulty) replace face frames and sides and then replaced replacements of replaced face frames (quality so bad it just keeps going), they have refused to replace damaged doors, refused to respond on what "hardwood" these are made of, and on and on. As far as all of out-of-the-box damage for other pieces, they actually asked me if some can be hidden upon installation. Sadly, this kitchen remodel was in a rental with a tenant in place, so to help reduce down-time with their kitchen, I did have to hide and overlook a significant amount of damage in order to get them back in a functional kitchen. Had this not been a rental home, then I would have refused/returned the cabinets mid-way after seeing the poor quality. To sum it up, this kitchen remodel has been a nightmare. It ills me to imagine what these cabinets will look like even 6 months from now after ordinary use. And since they won't stand behind their advertising and warranty from the get-go, I can't imagine they will a few months or years from now when I have to completely gut the kitchen and start over!

I shopped a lot for cabinets. I got bids from two big box stores, three local kitchen design studios/fabricators, and two other vendors selling RTA cabinets. RTA Cabinet store was half the cost of the big box stores and local fabricators, and I also got cabinets for a mudroom unit, 3 bathroom vanities, and a large laundry room for that half less price. One of the other vendors selling RTA cabinets didn't have the right color/door style. The other vendor had these same cabinets- they were delivered assembled but didn't include installation. They cost about $5k more. I'm not sure what I ended up paying for assembly and installation but I do know it was nowhere near $5k. That store ordered them from RTA Cabinet store so I figured I'd cut out the middle man and go directly to the source. I love the soft close, dovetail joints, and the pullouts I ordered are awesome. I also love the details like the finished end panels. Ethan Hayes helped me design the kitchen, and although I already had a really good idea of what I wanted to do, he was very patient with all of the back and forth changes. I got Alpine White, the color is beautiful and the doors feel and look sturdy. The cons-Delivery was challenging because we live on a rural road that's difficult (well, basically impossible but we had a very talented and patient driver) for a semi truck to access. Plus we have a long narrow driveway so end of driveway dropoff is a little different for us. Luckily my contractor was on site that day with a forklift tractor and helped my husband load up an enclosed trailer and the back of his truck. The size of the order didn't help matters, I think it was 3500 lbs? I thought my husband was going to divorce me that day! I had to keep reminding him it was saving 5 figures, not just a couple hundred bucks. Also, a few of the doors have nicks which I'm not sure were like that on arrival or if they occurred when being assembled and installed. I suspect the latter, I learned during my home's construction that people don't often care about being gentle with other people's new things. I know there's a claim process but I ordered the cabinets in July and they didn't get installed until a few months later. I didn't have time or energy with a newborn to open up the crazy amount of packages to inspect everything. I haven't had any issues with nicks or scrapes during the 2 months I've been using them though. And I have a clumsy 13 year old daughter who likes to cook. I was a little disappointed not to be able to use cup pulls on all three drawers in a drawer base, I just didn't realize the top drawer panel was too small but it's not a deal breaker. Anyone installing an apron sink in a sink cabinet base needs to be aware that the front doors will need to be cut and then painted. A few of the cabinet fronts didn't line up but I assumed that was an assemble/install issue. 2 of the 3 I had like that have been fixed as part of our punchlist. The only other thing I would say is that the panel is very intricate and a little harder to clean than raised panel white cabinets I've had in the past. Overall, despite the few challenges I'm really happy with the cabinets and appreciate the huge savings. They're much less expensive than the lowest level box store cabinets and a lot nicer quality.

Had a wonderful experience with RTA when we were shopping for bathroom vanities for our summer home. We had an odd sized space, and the designers were able to come up with a custom design using kitchen upper cabinets! We ended up getting a shower door from them as well. Projected turned out great and was very happy with the service and the knowledge of the people

Not happy at all they came and did not even look close to the pic that they had online plus some where different shades they varied in height by 3/8 inch plus some of the brackets didn't line up so we couldn't connect them some were missing parts to the cabinets for instance toe kicks plus they said 10 to 15 days took over a month before we got them and the delivery company that got to deliver should also be a one-star we set a date and time did not show up the time we had picked I was at work had to leave work and they would not even unload how to rent a forklift the overall experience was a nightmare

I have been trying to finalize an order for the past 4 weeks. They were prompt if furnishing the initial design and quote. I had some questions and minor changes. I attempted to get these made via a telephone call. It appears the design team will not converse via a telephone call (their explanation is it is not documented). It is very cumbersome trying to communicate with them via email. The average response takes 1-1/2 business days. The responses are short and curt. Usually did not answer the question. A telephone call would probably answer all my questions in a matter of minutes. I have left several messages as well as asked them to call via email. Still waiting for the call from the designer. Also I have been waiting for the sample doors for 2 weeks now. I am hesitant to place the order (if and when the design is finalized) without seeing the sample doors. I talked to customer service after the doors had been on order for one week. She said they had been very busy and assured me the doors would be shipped that day. I checked on their website 2 days later and the doors were still not shipped. I sent an email and received the same message – the doors would be shipped that day. Well one was shipped that day – still have not received. Now they say the other sample door is out of stock and don’t know when it will arrive. I asked if they would hold the sale prices for me until the door arrives. Even though the delay was all due to their actions, the said no. It feels like they think my order (just over $3,000) is too small for them to bother with. They would rather spend time with the larger orders Dissatisfied “want to be” customer.

I wish I could rate them great overall but far too many small things about the cabinets left us a little disappointed. Overall we are pleased with the look of the cabinets, but unhappy with how they were shipped. We ordered around 3700$ worth of cognac shaker cabinet & accessories last month from RTA Cabinet Store. Issues we had were: - Not ONE cabinet box shipped with correct instructions. Every box had the same instruction set for a single drawer cabinet - we ordered lazy susans to corner cabinets to 42" cabinet - all of them had the 12" cabinet install. The amount of time it took to install these cabinets was insane, and we had a contractor with us. - Numerous chips, dents and bents to various pieces of cabinets. We have tons of pictures for every chip and dents we found. Also the color/wood seems to chip so easily its not funny. I can't remember our cabinets chipping at mere touch. Again, quality wise it was lacking. - They should've shipped with a plastic film on all their cabinet pieces - that would have helped with all the nicks and chips during shipping. After all they are coming all he way from China, so it might as well be worth a few $$$ to protect it? Sadly without a protective film its up to you to be very very careful while building the cabinet. - The 3 drawer cabinets are horror story! Again, no instructions supplied. Even worse? When you line the 2nd and 3rd drawers, they close over each other! If you use the default front plates, its guaranteed that your 2nd and 3rd drawer face will overlap each other and not close fully. We have videos of this. The solution? You have to unscrew the front plates of drawer, re align the holes a little bit lower so the 3rd drawer plate falls a bit lower so all three can close. This in my opinion was bad build process. - Not a single cabinet or drawer came with holes for putting in the door handles. We got tons of handles from them, but its left to our imagination to align them correctly. It might be easier for cabinet doors, but not supplying any predilled holes for drawer pulls for cabinet drawers is idiotic. Did I mention they chip super easily? So now we are scared of even drilling the holes because we are scared of chipping it! To sum it up: We like overall look of the cabinet and indeed the end look of kitchen is exactly how we imagined it to be, however the build and shipping quality of these cabinets left a LOT to be desired. We ended up ordering more cabinets due to our own planning error, however folks at RTACabinetStore were good about shipping other cabinets quickly. The people at RTA cabinet store are very good to deal with and friendly. However good folks at a company can only go so far as their products. I wish I could say we were thrilled, but we can't recommend (well at least cognac shaker line though we are stuck with it for now) to anyone from their store.

I got really nice cabinets for just a little over $3500 for a full kitchen, 24 linear feet. They came out nicely, and are well made; no particle board at all and self closing. I will go to RTA cabinets again!

So, cabinets are expensive, they don't include the 'features' listed on the product pages - you have to pay extra for 'soft-close' option (and it's $180 or so per cabinet) and extra for dovetailed drawers. On top of that, I put a drill through the front of one of the drawers - the company is saying they cannot replace the drawer front and that I'll have to but a new cabinet. Unlikely. The cabinets are held together with plastic connectors and the biggest insult - the cabinets are made by Sunny Wood Cabinets - IN CHINA. I can't imagine these lasting more than a couple years - but the cost to return them is prohibitive. I would not recommend this company or its products. Shaker Hill - three cabinets, over $1000.00 - the cabinets at Home Depot or Lowe's are probably just as good of quality, easier to replace, and less expensive. I will say the cabinets were easy to put together for the most part. The instructions for the drawers didn't really match the product, which isn't a complete surprise for Chinese put-it-together-yourself products.

There are several web sites out there offering kitchen cabinets and related products but I am very happy that I decided to go with RTA to do my own kitchen. I am a contractor in Virginia and I wanted to try something different although I was hesitant about experimenting with something new on my customers due to the risk of failure. After my first experience with the RTA Cabinet Store, I was sold. Service was above and beyond my expectations since they offered assistance with the sketch, the design and the product selection. I made a few changes in the planning stages, and although a tedious job, they reworked these alterations into the plan without any hesitations. Adam is a star to work with!

I ordered bathroom vanity Cumberland line with RTA Cabinet Store and was very pleased with the product-no missing parts or any damages. There was a slight hickup with delivery due to my rescheduling from the original delivery date and providing alternative contact numbers, but all worked fine at the end.

RTA cabinets helped me and my husband design a new kitchen better than we imaged. Not only did they find a way to get the most storage , but functionality out of the space in my kitchen for a house of 6 people not to be crowded! The quality of the process awesome and any issues were quickly fixed by them. The cabinets I ordered were delivered quickly and were of high quality. There was one cabinet that was damaged, but not identifiable from the packaging. Customer service quickly resolved the issue and send out replacement parts for the damaged pieces. The cabinets look great and the overall experience very positive. I would definitely order again!

Loved the Casa Blanca cabinets we ordered for our mudroom. Manufacturer shipped a wrong set of doors but RTA went above and beyond to meet our schedule and delivered the correct doors to my house. I am quite happy with the cabinets we ordered, Alpine Raised Panel. I assembled them almost all by myself, a 54-yr-old female. Once one cabinet is completed, it is easy. Online videos are helpful beforehand, and I recommend taking the time to review them. The quality of the cabinets is good. I love the look of them. Ethan Hayes, who helped with the design, continued to be helpful through the whole process. He promptly answered each of my questions. My only criticism is the Made in China label on the boxes when we received the shipment. I had missed that info before ordering. BTW, we had some shipping damage, followed the guidelines ahead of time, and had that taken care of with no problems.

We had a small hardware replacement that we needed which was handled quickly and the project turned out good. For the price of the product, it was an overall great experience and we will definitely use them again.

This company surpassed all my expectations! First, they offer free design consultation, which is worth the cabinet cost alone. Ethan went back and forth with me via email and ensured I was happy with the design and layout of the new kitchen. I even had a couple of tricky spots that included a chimney - he walked me through best practices and told me exactly how I should approach the situation. His guidance and recommendations were invaluable. After the design was done, I purchased the cabinets and they arrived about 2 weeks later via freight. The cabinets were in perfect condition and were very easy to put together. They were VERY good quality and look like those found in higher end kitchens. Overall, I'm 100% satisfied with RTA Cabinet Store. Since I am a landlord and remodel frequently, I will surely use RTA Cabinet Store again for my future projects. This company is great!

We ordered the Horizon Maple Kitchen Cabinets, the quality was superb and very easy to put together. The Customer Support was awesome and helped out along the way with anything that was sub par. Had one of the glass doors that was slightly damaged, but customer support had a new door shipped to us within the week. Great company to work with from the design aspect to ordering, for any future jobs we will be returning to them.

We ordered our master bath cabinets (Cumberland Antique White) and our kitchen cabinets (Beaumont) and the quality is OUTSTANDING! We had one door front damaged with our bath cabinets, but followed their detailed instructions for documenting damage and filing the claim was simple. Our kitchen cabinets arrived with no damage at all. My husband put them together and we are so pleased with how beautiful they are! Both styles have the soft close hinges. For those wondering, the price is similar to Ikea, but you have so many more choices for cabinet front styles! And Ethan Hayes spent countless hours preparing our kitchen design prior to ordering, he was fantastic! These are our finished photos for the kitchen. We saved thousands over the "big box stores". If budget is a top priority, we would highly recommend RTA Cabinets - you get incredible value for the dollars spent.

We had a wonderful experience using RTA cabinets. Ethan is extremely talented and was able to re-create different aspects of pictures that I showed him in order for us to make our dream kitchen and bath for literally a fraction of what it would've cost us to get lower grade cabinets at any big box hardware store. I need cabinets that arrived damaged were easily replaced. I found communication, especially with Ethan, to be extremely prompt. The cabinets take a while to build but if you have the time and space in which to do it, it is a pretty easy process. Just takes some time.

I submitted a request for help with the design of my kitchen just as the Memorial Day Sale was starting. I even submitted another bid that I had to have them match. The website says they will assist you - they didn't! They don't present a caveat that if they are too busy, they won't help! I was pressed to make a purchase due to time and had to make the order before 11:59pm on Tuesday to get the discount as they wouldn't work with me after to give me the Mem Day Sale price. Turns out, one cabinet was still needed. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks and the price total is more than if I'd bought local for the same quality!!! And, soft close doors would have been included locally - and pre-assembled as well!!! There is no great price savings here. I am a landlord and would never consider using this company again.

Having researched kitchen cabinets for over a year we were looking for the best quality but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. I found RTA and researched them and read all the reviews but was still hesitant - buying cabinets online seemed to spell disaster!! We decided to take the chance and we are so glad we did. I worked with Ethan who was understanding and very efficient. He drew out designs based on my measurements and really had his work cut out with a very strange corner angle in my kitchen. We received the cabinets on time and in perfect shape. I worried as we were not installing right away and didn't open up the boxes until later but not one defect was found. The cabinets were easy to build, were good quality and all the pieces were there. Our kitchen looks amazing now and I love my soft close drawers and cabinets. He designed a huge island which is the center focus in my kitchen. At one point I had a piece I wasn't sure what it was for, a quick email to Ethan and all was figured out. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone who wants good quality without breaking the bank.

I used RTA for my kitchen remodel. I am very pleased with the cabinets. They were easywere easy to assemble and are very solid and sturdy. Their staff, especially Ethan, were very helpful and professional. I would highly recommend RTA to anyone that is in the market for kitchen cabinets.

Don't waste your money! I ordered 3 bathroom cabinets. Prior to ordering on line, I called the company to confirm the drawer hardware was full extension under mount. They confirmed they were, but the hardware is not full extension or ball bearing. It is as cheap as it gets. One of the drawer faces has screws driven through the face from the backside. I filed a claim with the claims department and keep getting told they are checking with the vendor. The damage occurred during fabrication not from a vendor. They should send me a new drawer front and deal with the vendor on their own time. It's been almost 4 weeks and still no answer. In my case, I got less than I paid for.

Their prices for cabinets can't be beat, they're the best by far! I'm a property manager and I have bought at least 10 kitchens from them so far (including my own home). I give them the dimensions of the kitchen and they draw me up an awesome layout. The cabinets are high quality and solid plywood, not the cheap particle board stuff that falls apart when it gets wet like IKEA stuff. They're also really really easy to put together, a child could do it. I recommend them to everyone I talk to.

We updated our the kitchen in our contemporary house and could not be happier with the cabinets we purchased from RTA Cabinet Store. About 10 years ago we used Home Depot to refaced our kitchen cabinets and we were unhappy with the quality. The RTA Cabinets are very high quality and we are very happy with them. This was my second kitchen remodel but the first time I've ever used ready to assemble cabinets. Best decision I ever made. Quality was just as good as a comparable product at a big box store but literally less than half the cost. So that means I saved about $7000-$10,000!!!!! Amazing. The cabinets were easy to put together, especially once I got going. If anything I felt like they were stronger than the big box ones since I used screws instead of a nail gun. Ethan (one of their customer service agents) was also amazing. I seriously called him about once a day for a solid two weeks while I was figuring out exactly what I needed to order. Never once did he seemed frustrated or annoyed that I kept asking so many questions!!!! I absolutely love this company and would recommend them to a friend in a heartbeat.

Ordered cabinets for my bathroom. Cabinets arrived and had shipping damage I understand this and called trucking company and let them know and then notified cabinet store and reported damage. This was in Jan 11th. Its now March 8th and I have still not received all the replacements. It took forever to get a partial replacement with little or no response to emails to customer service and when I finally got replacements I hoped my dealings with them were over but they neglected to send all the replacement parts. They are responsive at first when they try to get you to take a crayon and touch up paint and when you say no and then they offer a discount and then after that your lucky if anyone answers an email within a week or two. I emailed them maybe a week ago to check progress for shipment that I have been waiting for for about 2 weeks but as usual have received no response. I don't think I would wish this company on anyone. I have purchased cabinets from another company before for my kitchen and they were very quick to answer any emails and handle any problems. Most companies answer quickly unless they choose not to. I still don't have any idea when my replacement panel will ship but I only asked about a week ago so maybe my expectations are too high for this company

They are great when you're trying to order your cabinets. They'll look at your design and load it up with what you need. Once you push "submit" and pay for it, things change. I have had no less than 10 issues with my order, from missing pieces, incorrect measurements by their "Designer" and items that were just "forgotten" when loading up my cart. I think most people who work there try hard, but none of them will sign their names to an email. Consequently, you never know who you are working with. It's frustrating. Honestly, the cabinets are great. For the money, you can't beat them. But they promise they have instructions online and for some, they do. However, most of the cabinets I got that required a little bit of expertise...no instructions or videos online. Their customer service could use some ownership...someone to step in and own the customer's problems. The sad part is, with just a small ounce of quality control, most of my issues would have never emerged. Summary: You are getting more than you pay for on the quality of the cabinets, but what you're sacrificing with the smaller amount of money is good and responsive customer service.

I struggled with the star rating. First let me say that my cabinets are beautiful. My main issues were with the ordering/shipping process. I ordered on 12/01/15 under the Cyber Monday sale. The confirmation email I received gave a processing order time of 7-10 business days. So, by 12/14/15 I contacted customer service on a status (the online updates that were supposed to notify changes from order received, processing, ready to ship, etc. never updated thru the entire process until the day they shipped). I made repeated contacts with customer service from the 14th thru the 28th and I must say that Mindy and Jill are wonderful. They finally informed me that my order was among a batch from Cyber Monday that must have gotten "overlooked" by the warehouse and was not processed timely. On the 22nd I was given the company email for the owner and a manager to follow-up since my order was well overdue. To Date (03/01/16) I have never had any response whatsoever from either the manager or the owner and I find this disheartening from a small business. On the 23rd I was told the cabinets were shipping. On the 28th my online account had still not updated so I re-contacted and the BOL was actually created that day and they shipped the following day. This caused about a 3-4 week delay in our remodel. The cabinets were received intact and undamaged. However, word of caution: We were extremely careful in assembly and still have several nicks and scratches from installation of the cabinets and then from the granite install. We ordered Elegant White Shaker so if you order wood grain cabinets they may not be as prone. A couple other words of caution to the DIY folks. First, they do not come with printed instructions which would be fine if the website instructions were user friendly. The website does not have instructions for every model of cabinet in every style. You have to sometimes search thru other styles and may/may not find what you need. The website instructions were so poorly done and the lack of a user friendly way to access what you need meant we had to resort to third party YouTube videos. Next, if you do decide to order from them do so well in advance so you can get advice to make sure you order the correct items. For instance, a Blind Corner Cabinet will not actually line up correctly with other cabinets if you are turning a corner! Thus, where the cabinets turn a corner for my island I now have an unusable drawer because it will not open. I also order Under Cabinet Drawers thinking these were the roll out drawers that fit INSIDE the cabinets for easy access to pots and pans. No matter what computer (work, home, Ipad, phone) I was on I could never get the photo of the item to open. When they arrived we discovered these are actually drawers to install UNDER a cabinet. Lastly, at least in the Elegant White Shaker, there is only one size microwave cabinet to be used over a stove. I did not see any other cabinet options to be used over the stove with a wall mount microwave so this is what I ordered. However, the microwave cabinet does not actually fit wall mount microwaves! It only fits countertop styles. I have not notified the company of these issues because they were my own fault for assuming they would work in my rush to order on time. This company has a decent product and the girls in customer service are top notch but the shipping process, quality of the website, etc. leave much to be desired. Do you homework and consider the pros and cons of other companies before purchasing, especially if you are not already experienced in ready to assemble cabinets!

We decided on using RTA Cabinet Store after learning that their cabinets are a fraction of what the cost would have been for custom cabinets. We had recently bought an older home and had planned to completely gut and renovate the kitchen and go with an entirely new layout for appliances. We had never done anything like this, so I knew I needed design help. I ended up working with Ethan, who was very patient with my meticulous wish list of things I wanted in my dream kitchen. Ethan would send me a rough design and then I would tweak it a bit and send back to him. We did this a few times until I was happy with the final design. Ethan was very clear with me about making sure to double and triple check all measurements and quotes before we finalized the order. Once we received the cabinets, we did have a few hiccups (a couple of dented spots from shipping/packaging, which the claims department replaced right away and some delays in receiving product due to backorder) but overall we had a great experience with RTA. I feel like with the type of project we took on, those same issues would have arisen had we been using a contractor or a large retailer. The white shaker cabinets with soft close hinges are absolutely GORGEOUS and were exactly what I had envisioned. They are real wood and way better quality than what I would have found at a big retailer, for a fraction of the price. I would definitely use RTA again and would absolutely recommend Ethan for any designs you need.

The order itself took an extremely long time. When they finally arrived, we decide to drive as the shipping charges are outrageously high and was hoping to save some money as we are doing most of the work ourselves. When we arrived, we went into the office to inquire about the cabinets and came into contact with the receptionist, Jill. She never looked up at us as we spoke to her. We said thank you and drove to the area where we were instructed to pick up our cabinets . An employee brought them out and placed them in our truck. I asked if he could open the boxes so we could inspect the cabinets. He used a razor blade to open the boxes and slashed the cabinet (side) with the razor. My husband and I immediately noticed the slashes, Oh No! I We stood there in shock;my stomach sank, we couldn't believe he just did that! We said, oh boy, that's not good, can you swap it out for a new one?, He noted he would go inside and speak with his manager. the manager never came out to speak with us. We were told by this employee that his manager said, "No, they have to be preordered, ,"You have to take them home and file a claim." WHAT? We were right there. Couldn't they just go inside and exchange it? No, he replied, We were trying to be nice, we are not confrontational people and thought, ok we would take them home and file the claim. We signed the packing slip and left. We realized later, that we never received a copy, which we were later told by Jake that we signed a release form. We did not know that or was told that. We never would have signed it. we were told it was a packing slip. We brought them home and upon inspecting the other cabinet pieces, we found the cabinets to be warped and would not fit together. We meticulously laid out all the pieces, and began to put together the second cabinet and noticed that both cabinet fronts had two tiny draws in lieu of one draw that we had ordered and is clearly pictured and offered on their website. I immediately called them at the Conshohocken location. I spoke with Jill. She had the audacity to tell us that since the company does not offer 30w cabinets with one large draw, get this.. "You ordered and received the right item." I said, "no, I did not order 30Wcabinets with two draws". I ordered the 30W shocker cabinets with one large draw that are clearly pictured on your website that has ONE draw and two cabinet doors below." She even went online while we were on the phone and agreed that the picture and description were incorrect. I expressed that we did not order cabinets with two draws and would like the cabinets picked up and returned to the company for a refund; since they do not sell the cabinets we ordered. She kept giving me the run around and even tried to blame us for this. She proceeded to tell me that "Mondays are vey busy and her manager may not get back to me today". He NEVER got back to us, never acknowledged us at all. At this point, we didn't know what to do, weeks passed no one was calling us back, so my husband filed a claim online (as instructed by the company) to get some response from someone. We finally received an email from Raquel Castratano, stating we need to take pictures of the damages. I responded to the claims manager, Raquel explaining that the damages are irrelevant at this point as both cabinets are not the cabinets we ordered, therefore we should not have to file a claim on a product we did not order. We wanted them picked up by their carrier at their expense and refunded as they do not sell the cabinets pictured on their website At first she seemed very willing to help us: After emailing back and forth for days with another run around, she tells me, we can send you a panel that stretches out across the two draws. What kind of remedy was that, one draw front that opens up into two draws. You can imagine from a design stand point that this would not work and totally not ergonomically correct. And, why should I accept that hideous solution? Just take back the cabinets that were wrongly sold to me, just like any other normal operating company in America! I want the product picked up and refunded, as they are the wrong product. I apologize for sounding redundant, as this is what I had to constantly put up with. Where in their policy does it state exactly, "so if we sell you a product that we do not sell, then you as the customer are not allowed to return the product and if you do return the product it is your responsibly to bring it back to us even tho you have to drive 3hours to do so and because you did not have the products shipped to you and you did not pay that over inflated fee then you have to bring it back."?? She then responds...so are you returning All the damaged cabinets or just the two 30w cabinets? Really? Once again, I ordered TWO 30W cabinets with ONE DRAW. I RECEIVED TWO 30W CABINETS WITH TWO DRAWS . So, yes, I am returning all (two) cabinets in their original boxes and on a pallet as instructed. The last email from Raquel, "I am unfortunately unable to schedule a pick up since this order was a pick up from our facility. I thought that this was something I would be able to do but I was advised that I am not authorized to have this happen. I was thinking of alternatives to your issue, I can get drawer fronts from a drawer base 30 that would stretch across the front of the cabinet so that we do not need to return. If you still want to return the items they will have to be dropped back off to the warehouse." I personally don't understand how a claims manager can tell a customer one thing and then turn around and say "she THOuGHT it was something she could do? ..... Imagine if all companies ran their business this way, wouldn't there be massive mayhem?? At this point, I really felt like they were stalling and trying to annoy me so much that I would say, just forget it., Ill just keep them and not issue a return as she clearly states in her email above. I called Jake Park and left a voice mail to call me back in reference to his decision. Finally, I received a follow up call from Jake the "operations Manager" ...Here is how it transpired. He proceeded to tell me that Jill who is mentioned above, just lost someone in a car accident and that is why she treats people so poorly. I wanted to tell him, but did not... Jake, my husband lost his 17 year niece when her car crashed into a tree and died. Should he now torture all his clients because of this? When I responded, that this was making me very uncomfortable and she did not behave in a way of a grieving woman, but someone who is extremely upset at the world. . He then yelled... "have some "f U __K--N compassion!! WOW that's a nice way to talk to your customers. I was getting really upset that I was saying, is this really happening? When I mentioned his employee damaged my cabinets right in front of me and wouldn't take them back,, that i had to take them home, sign the packing slip and file a claim , he yelled..., "You signed it!!", you signed it!!", you signed it!!!! At this point, I did not feel like I was dealing with a professional person and responded that I will no longer speak with him oner the phone and receive such barbaric treatment. That, we can continue this conversation through email. Since that conversation, I have not heard back from him. We have filed a complaint with the BBB as they have ignored us and will not contact us. In conclusion, whether you are a professional, an investor or just someone wanting to update their home, please don't walk away from this company but RUN away!. I am emotionally exhausted by the barbaric customer care given and totally shocked from the unethical treatment of this company. This experience and the treatment we received along with their response to our unfortunate dilemma is indicative of the shadiness that is transpiring within this company. It has left us with the impression this company does not stand by their motto. **Please note, After sending my emails to the claims manager, Raquel, we noticed they updated their website to reflect the correct cabinets they sell. But we took pictures of the website in case we needed them to present to our attorney. We are still waiting for a response to have their cabinets picked up. ***I see from the other poor ratings the the owner Gary responds to these reviews. I can simply assure him that his company has sold us a product that does not exist and other than telling me he is sending a carrier to pick up his merchandise I am not interested in hearing the run around he is now giving other customers. He seems just as unethical and unprofessional as his employees. GOOD LUCK to you if you hire this company!!

Mr. Nealon did engage in an email exchange with me. However, it became apparent that he was more interested in laying the blame on my husband and myself. He focused solely on the measurement issue, and asked me to send him my architectural plans, which I refused to do. Mr. Nealon did NOT address the many, many mistakes in the ordering process, and when I asked about a touch up kit for my cabinets, he again deflected and said it must be a builder specific issue - in essence, blaming my builder for needing a touch up kit. I was NOT in any way, satisfied or impressed with the professionalism, follow-through, quality assurance - or really any aspect of our dealing with this business. They assure me that they have many happy customers. I was not one of those. Letter sent to owner this morning: Gary Nealon RTA Cabinet Store November 11, 2015 Dear Gary, I’m writing to express my dissatisfaction with my experience with your business. My husband and I are in the process of building our dream home. To stretch our budget, we researched and found that most people are very happy with ready to assemble cabinets. We are handy people, although we have never assembled or installed kitchen cabinets. We looked at several online retailers and chose yours specifically because your business is within driving distance of our home. We called and made an appointment to visit your show room on August 1. We arrived, bringing with us careful measurements of each room, as well as the actual blueprints of our home and Ethan used your design software to help us layout the two kitchens and two laundry rooms in our new home. That day I wrote a check for $12,000+. We left excited. (Order #32899) After three weeks, we still had not heard that our cabinets were in. I began calling your business. One of the women there told me she would research. It took her several days, but she finally was able to conclude that while the cabinets for our Tuscany kitchen were in, someone had dropped the ball and the cabinets for our white shaker kitchen were never ordered. She promptly ordered the cabinets and we made plans, (and told your people) to come pick up our order the first weekend in September. (Five weeks after our initial order). We arrived for pick up. Our order was not ready for us to pick up. There were two men in the warehouse scrambling to find all of our parts. There were three large pallets, loose pieces, as well as a kitchen island. I remember being quite surprised when your warehouse employees asked us if we needed help loading the pallets into our U-Haul! He stated that they normally do not help customers! Of course, there was just my husband and myself and 3000 pounds of cabinets. Yes, we did need help. They DID use their forklift to help us get our cabinets into our truck. We drove our order back and hurriedly started assembling cabinets. Our goal was to have all the cabinets ready when our builder was ready to install. I will say we only had one broken door, so we were pleased that there was so little damage. By the end of September, we had our cabinets assembled and ready to install. At that point we realized we were missing a sink cabinet and a drawer base for the white shaker. More calls to your business. They concluded that for some reason those two cabinets had never been ordered. We gave them a credit card number and asked them to please order. This time, because it was your mistake, they waived the shipping charges. It took several weeks and many, many phone calls, but we did finally get the two missing cabinets. About two weeks ago, our builder began installing cabinets. Not surprisingly, we found that one cabinet was wrong completely. After much thought, we realized that somehow during the design process, Ethan moved the kitchen sink base in our kitchen and inadvertently moved the window above the sink. Due to that, the wall cabinet to the right of the window was too small and the wall cabinet to the left of the window was too large. We kept the cabinet to the right of the window, deciding we liked the way it looked. Then we proceeded to order a matching cabinet for the left side of the window. In addition, Ethan said we only needed one filler for our kitchen. We found we needed at least four more. For the white shaker kitchen, we also were short on filler. We went to Lowes and purchased shelving that matched, as we were so frustrated with RTA and didn’t want to order more. Last week, on Monday, I called to check the status of my new order (Order #34885) with the extra filler strips. Your office staff told me it was due on Thursday and to call after two o’clock. I waited until about 3PM on Thursday, November 5. The office staff told me that it SHOULD be in the warehouse but they hadn’t unloaded the truck yet, so call later. I called Monday, November 9. The office staff told me that it was in the warehouse and should go out today. I should get a tracking number by COB. On Tuesday, of course, I had not received a tracking number. My husband called again. Jill answered and said it should go out today, and I should get a tracking number by COB. My husband told her we’d been told that three times already. She did go look in the warehouse and left me a voice mail that it was going out and that we should get a tracking number today. Today, I actually got a call from the trucking company that they have it and I will receive it on Friday. Not surprisingly, on Monday, our builder told us we are also short on crown molding. This time, I went online and ordered from Kabinet King. I sincerely wished we had used them before. After research, I realized that their reviews are much more positive. They also have an A+ rating with the BBB. They have 0 complaints. You all had 8 complaints the last time I checked, albeit, they were closed. Problems with your business: 1)Follow-up is AWFUL a.)It’s standard procedure for your staff to tell a customer they will call them back, but they they rarely, if ever, do. Once you write your check and leave the premises, the whole process falls on the customer’s shoulders. 2)There is no oversight to make sure the order is correct and that all pieces are that will be needed are also ordered. I was asked to write a review on Houzz. I will put a copy of this letter. In short, I hope you can rectify this for future customers. Great cabinetry for the price. Highly recommended if you are looking for reasonable price and a quality product. (Hard to come by in the cabinet world) Solid wood cabinets with dovetail drawers & many sizes + styles to choose from.. Originally worked with Michael G. & received some great tips prior to purchasing + he was super knowledgable on the extras. Soft close trash-can & rollout trays were well worth it after a couple months in the kitchen. Glad the company had so many resources for us to utilize during the buying process. We had minor damage on cabinet door upon receiving but that was taken care of fairly quickly. Will be using RTA again for our bathroom project. Thanks RTA! -Dale

After looking for cabinets online and designing our kitchen with their planner tool, we took a trip to see the RTA Cabinet Store for ourselves. We met Ethan and he showed us around the different cabinet options. We gave him the dimensions of our room and he laid it out for us. Even though I had planned and thought through the space several times on my own, he made suggestions and thought of things that I had not taken into consideration. we were very pleased with the quality of the cabinets and all we could get for our budget! They even suggest a countertop company they are partnered with to receive a discount. We cannot wait for our new kitchen to be complete!

Making an appointment to visit the showroom was easy, The showroom was sufficient enough for me to see the quality of the different products. There were custom design features for me to examine which were helpful since I have a header beam running through the upper cabinet area that I need a custom solution for. Mike was very helpful, provided a lot of information about the cabinets we were interested in. The price and quality are better than another store that we shopped. After the fact, I found out that my brother had purchased cabinets from RTA two years ago and he said they were easy to install, and they look great, and he would recommend them.

After a long search for the right cabinets, we came across this company. The assembly was easy and the cabinets look great. We were paired wiht Mike G. What a delight he is. With our constant changes to the design and questions about the products, he was always there to help out. I really can't say enough about him. Of course we had some quality control issues and some damages to some pieces and Rachel from the claims department couldn't be more helpful as well. From design choices to recommendations to input as what would look best, Mike was 5 star. I highly recommend this company as well as working with him.

Met with Ethan today for some expert help in designing my kitchen layout. This guy is super-knowledgeable, helpful and a pleasure to work with. He is a whiz at his computer with his design layout software and knows his way around the company products like a champ. Never would have been able to do this on my own. RTA's website is great. It is easy to use and fun to explore different options for our space. Once we decided to buy, we got our plans professionally drawn up and reviewed. Ethan was patient with all the different changes and options that we threw at him. Prices are very competitive and sales were timely. We can't wait to be able to use our new kitchen!!

please read before you purchase from this company…I would have a hard time recommending this company to anybody. I placed an order for some bar cabinets. There has been nonstop issues with the condition of cabinets, unlimited back orders, and zero communication by either phone or email from customer service. I would not purchase any cabinets if you are on a timeline for completion. After your order is placed, you can receive your cabinets in 7 to 10 days or a month. Also all eight cabinets that we received were damaged in someway. There is a lack of communication and accountability from the customer service team. Most RTA cabinets stock the same cabinets. Buy local. Here is a follow up to earlier review: after months of excuses, zero communication from RTA, and the owner's refusal to own up to the situation… I finally have all of my cabinets completed. The cabinets look good but nobody should be put through this kind of circus.

RTA Cabinet Store provided us an easy, smooth, and attentive kitchen design process. The kitchen layout tool is extremely helpful and easy to use. Although it does not generate 3d views immediately, once you discuss your plans and layout with a customer service representative they will happily generate any view you want. We worked with Ethan through this process and he was always available and responsive...the design changed about 10 times and he still maintained patience with us. The checkout process was smooth and you can quickly jump between previous carts to see how you can save or add to the project. Also, the lines that RTA have are great and the pricing is really fair. They beat all competitors for using plywood boxes and offer a wide variety of options, most of which are already in stock and ready to be shipped. Thanks a lot RTA, we will definitely use you again and look forward to recommending you every chance we get.

After getting prices at the box stores I decided to research online cabinets. I order lots of things online. However, ordering something as major as kitchen cabinets felt risky to say the least. I manage several rental properties and have decided to try RTA cabinets when i do my next renovation. I checked RTA's major competitor and was not at all satisfied with the customer service. (Especially when spending a decent amount of money in one shot!) RTA from day one has been helpful, friendly, courteous, and understanding of my needs. The product was delivered to me in fine condition. I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the cabinets i ordered. Especially since the cabinets i chose are a fairly basic quality. The frames and doors are square! Thanks to Mike G for help with assembly, and Raquel C for over-the-phone ordering help. I am grateful for a real person to contact!

In June 2014 I placed an order for kitchen cabinets I had designed for our home. After looking at HD and other cabinet store’s we discovered the RTA Cabinet Store. We selected the Bordeaux Shaker Cabinet. The best part was their pricing was half of what I was looking at from HD and other cabinet stores. I had excellent customer service from Mike Gallaher our go to guy at RTA, easy to work with and very helpful, Wendy also helped us when Mike was out of the office. The cabinets came in about 2 weeks after the order was placed, and only had a 3" base fill that was damaged, it was quickly re-ordered for us. I had a pretty easy time putting the cabinets together, I would suggest doing the easy cabinet first, like the regular wall cabinets then do the harder to assemble cabinets like lazy suzy base cabinets which are a little harder to do and keep square. But the entire outcome is terrific. We couldn't be happier with the look and outcome of the kitchen. I would highly recommend RTA to anyone who is handy enough to install cabinets or have a contractor install them for you. We were able to visit their showroom before we purchased the cabinets as we live only a few miles away. A quality cabinet at a great price. Al Perry Lafayette Hill, Pa.

In May 2013 I placed a large order for cabinets for my kitchen and wet bar I was designing in a house I was renovating. RTA Cabinet Store not only had the best prices and selection, but they also provided excellent customer service. Due to shipping a one of the cabinets was bowed. Once I realized it wouldn't go together properly, I gave them a call and they immediately ordered me a replacement. About 1.5 years into the cabinets being installed I noticed a small crack in my pantry cabinet which is due to it drying out (common problem with wood cabinets). They immediately ordered me a replacement and shipped it to my house. I am planning a renovation for my 2nd floor this summer and I will order my bathroom vanity from RTA due to their excellent price, selection and service. I highly recommend RTA to anyone who is handy enough to install cabinets properly (level, square, glued and nailed)

I recently purchased the River White granite top for my bathroom project & it looks like a million bucks... Or at least a couple thousand, even though I only spent a couple hundred. Delivery was quick & the customer service rep Was very informative. I'll be buying again in the future for my other bathroom and possibly when I re-do my kitchen.

We ordered $4600 of Cherryville kitchen cabinets on 3/26/14 (order number 22787). A partial shipment was sent on 4/5/14 with some cabinets backordered. There were several cabinets damaged when we received them. Some were damaged prior to shipment as there was no damage to the boxes, and some were damaged during the shipment. Another shipment was sent on 4/28/14. There were two pieces that were still backordered at that time and were not shipped. Due to travel plans, if we did not have all pieces prior to the first of May 2014, we could not start our kitchen rebuild until the fall. Since the two extra pieces would not be there before then, we canceled them and received a credit so that we could re-order them in the fall as we would not be there to receive them. At first their claims person Jake was helpful. One wall cabinet had broken camlocks and he sent two pieces to replace them, and one base cabinet had broken camlocks and a broken front, and he sent another cabinet to replace that one. Another base cabinet had a bad scratch on the side that would face out and he told us that we could use one of the side panels from the other cabinet to fix that. Our pantry had scratched and worn areas on the sides, and he asked if we would try staining them to see if that would help. We did, and the damage was still noticeable so I asked if he could send two more sides. From that point on, we never heard back from him. The pieces that he sent to replace the ones that had damaged camlocks were the wrong pieces. We needed a top and bottom piece and side pieces were sent. When we noticed this, both a phone call and an email were sent to Jake, to which we received no reply. Not replying to a customer is very poor business. I would have been less upset if the reply back was that they could do nothing for us rather than not hearing from them. I was able to take the camlocks off of another piece, drill the broken camlocks out, and glue them where the broken ones were to fix this so that we could use the piece that we have. Assembly can be from easy to very difficult depending on what cabinet is being put together. The assembly instructions that come in the box with the cabinets are a joke. Chinese poorly translated into english. The assembly instructions on their website are somewhat better, if they are available. We could find no instructions for 36" wall cabinets, which have a camlock on the back that are not on the 30" instructions. All in all, assembly was very frustrating. We decided on RTA Cabinet Store because the cost was about $500 less than other RTA stores and they shipped right to our home. In retrospect, I should have paid the extra money.

Ordered my cabinets through RTA cabinet store one arrived with a lot of damage and one with scratch's . I made the phone call got no response then I sent an email describing the damages . A lady named Kelly Smith responded back , she was extremely helpful in solving all my issues . Because of Kelly I will be a repeat customer .

This was the worst experience ever. We purchased over $3k in cabinets. Two pantry cabinets showed up damaged due to delivery and every single cabinet was warped and scratched. The wood was so warped that most of the tops or back did not fit in the grooves. After the damaged delivery and opening the first two boxes we contacted the company, only to be told we needed to continue to unpack everything and then contact them with all the damages. This was after already waiting for over 2 1/2 months for delivery. Additionally, all the camlocks were plastic to include the screw in them and all wood was 1/2 inch. Not what I expected. Don't be fooled by the DIY and HGTV, you can get better cabinets at a fraction of the price from the big box stores. Don't buy the response either. We contacted the company a couple of times and got pretty poor service. Being expected to open every box and then repack them is ridiculous. I assure you EVERY cabinet was warped and most were also scratched and the quality was horrific. We had to modify each cabinet with L brackets and screws so they wouldn't fall apart. Definitely the worst shopping experience to date.

We are remodeling our bathroom and needed vanity cabinets. In November 2013 we ordered and they soon arrived. We put off assembling them, as homeowners we totally under estimated the amount of work to be done. Finally, in mid 2014 we turned to the boxes and during assembly realized the 3 drawer cabinet was the wrong size. With limited space in the bathroom, we ordered 21 inch deep cabinets but the 3 drawer sent was 24 inches deep. What to do, we had ordered them almost a year before and surely they would not honor any return policy. To our wonderful surprise they acknowledged their mistake and sent the right cabinet The cabinets look great, and Kelly, the customer service rep and the vendor deserve to be praised for their professionalism. Any future projects requiring cabinets will definitely be purchased fro RTA Caninets.

Recently bought a vanity cabinet from RTA Cabinet Store & I'm very please with how everything turned out. The customer service was good + the sales rep informed me about various bits of information I would have never considered prior to purchasing. The quality of the vanity I bought was great too! I recently ordered my kitchen cabines from RTA Cabinet Store and upon receipt from the trucking company there were a couple of cabinets that were damaged. I contacted the customer service regarding the damage and they were very prompt and easy to deal with. Replacement pieces were shipped to me at no cost and without any issues. I recently purchased cabinetry for my condo renovation from RTA Cabinet Store. The process was quick & easy. The gentleman the helped me with the design/layout was really knowledgable & it was free! I received my order in a reasonable amount of time (less than three weeks). The quality of the cabinets was really good. Loved the soft closing glides & that they were solid wood. I purchased their "Traditional White" style cabinet. Would recommend to anyone looking for cabinetry at a reasonable price

Our last project used the Brandywine Cabinets from RTA Cabinet Store. This was the 4th kitchen project I have used RTA for. The cabinets look amazing, the customer is super happy and the price is unbeatable in my opinion. I have had very minor issues with the cabinetry overall, I think a cam lock was broken on one, they gave me spares to use, and I had some scratches on a few exposed side panels, they gave me touch up stain no questions asked. I will continue to use their products for my future projects. I have and will continue to recommend this company to others, and always tell my customers where I purchased the product from since my business does not mark up materials.

So far, my fiancé and I have not had a good experience with RTA Cabinets. We ordered a large order of cabinets at the end of May, most of the cabinets that came in were nice, but a portion of the cabinets were damaged upon opening. We have now been going back and forth with the company for the past two months on sending us replacement parts. This is the second time, even after sending several pictures and detailed descriptions of what was needed, that we have continued to receive the wrong parts. So now, once again, we are going to go back and forth with the claims department to have the correct pieces sent to us. We have postponed our contractor too many times now because of this ongoing issue. This process has been extremely frustrating, as it has continued to push back our move in date into our new house. ORDER # 23836

Order # 21747 My cabinets were ordered on February 5th. It is now March 10th. They said "I'm showing your order will be worked on today (2/19/14) and should be shipped later this afternoon" Each time there was a delay, the company didn't contact me, I had to chase them down and see what the hold up was. Emailed them 2/21 asking if it had shipped. Got a reply 2/22 There was a delay. The lazy susan and a couple other things were not in stock. (Which when ordering said it was in stock) They are "working" on finding the status of these items... Again, emailed them 2/24 Whats going on? When should I expect them?? Got an email back; "These things can take 9-10 business days." I said, "But its been over a MONTH!!!!!!" I'm still not sure what's going on.. and its apparent neither do they. Emailed them a few times today, and they got back with me saying the order manager is looking into it. They dont know what's in stock, or have ANY clue when I'll be expecting my cabinets. I'll change my review if I actually receive the cabinets I paid for. This is horribly unprofessional, and WILL NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE! GO ELSEWHERE! *3/18/14 Finally received my cabinets. They are beautiful, and arrived in one piece, thank goodness.

The looks of my cabinets are nice. One product was received damaged and they agreed to take it back but it would be a lengthy wait. They offered a 20% refund if I kept the order and used wood glue, I agreed as it was the inside of the pantry. I have since ordered an additional cabinet because we were short. I ordered January 19th and have still not received notification it was shipped. We understand the quote time is an estimate but We have made phone calls and representatives have actually been quite rude. On both occasions we have been told it would be shipped in the next day or two and it has not. I wrote an email to customer service and received no response. It is clear that since our order was small it is not important. At this point I can not recommend RTA and it's a shame because when we speak about theprice people ask where we got them. Price is great and I enjoy the look, customer service has made the experience regretful. It has delayed the process of my entire kitchen.

I have installed 5 or 6 kitchens with the Marquis Cinnamon cabinets from the RTA Cabinet Store into our rentals/Flips and we are about to do another one. That tells you that I like the product and the company. Like anything else that you assemble putting these together takes some patience the first time that you do it but by the 3rd or 4th cabinet it goes pretty quickly. These are great alternatives to the in stock cabinets offered by the big box stores but they certainly aren't custom cabinets either. They are middle of road cabinets that look great, hold up reasonably well and are priced well. We usually use wood glue on the drawers and the backs as our tenants tend to be hard on these and have pulled them apart in the past, some extra glue and screws take care of that. One reviewer commented on the thin luan backing, which is true but it really doesn't matter as it looks great from inside the box and as long as you are screwing the cabinets through the mounting strip there is no issue with the strength. The RTA Cabinet Store has been pretty good to deal with since I started using them in 2009. They fix their mistakes at their cost (my mistakes are on me and I've made a few costly ones) and have been generally responsive. I dislike the freight charges from them (and every other web merchant) and you really have to take them into account when placing an order as the freight can be expensive if you need to add a cabinet or two afterwards is expensive. All and all, a good value, a nice company to work with but understand that you aren't buying high-end custom cabinets.

I am a contractor and have used this company to purchase cabinets. Orders arrive quickly, and customer service is top shelf. I did once receive a damaged cabinet, not one single issue getting a replacement. RTA was very accommodating. Good quality product with good old fashioned service.

Be cautious when ordering from this company. Drawings with measurements were submitted to the company. I never received a detailed plan with measurements in return. It was not until we received the cabinets that I realized the cabinets did not fit and were not based on the measurements I supplied. Requests to the company were met with a response that it was my fault, there was nothing they could do. I could purchase more cabinets from them, but any errors were mine. I was not provided a corrective action (what cabinets would fit) nor was there an offer to replace the wrongly ordered parts. The parts that were in error cost me over $2,000 which is a significant error. In addition products were shipped damaged, and products were missing. The company disputed missing parts. I had to file multiple reports with the same information. I was told the manufacturing company was shut down for 2 weeks so any replacements would be delayed. Making my kitchen unuseable for more than 4 weeks. Dealing with this company is a full time job. Expect to spend an entire day just to report a damaged part.

Customer Service Review (4 Stars) : Even though I've read many reviews stating it was difficult to reach a representative at RTA Cabinet Store, that was not my experience. We placed an order for 9 oak cabinets, a filler piece, a Rev-a-Shelf pullout, and upgraded drawer slides. Two of our cabinets wound up on back order. I received an email informing me of the situation promptly. I was able to reach their customer service representative each time I called to check on the order. After 3 weeks of the cabinets being on back order, we requested that the rest of our order be sent so that we could begin our project. They denied our request due to the cost of shipping. Even though I understand the financial aspect, I believe customer service comes first. I give them 4 stars for customer service; it would have been 5 stars if they had honored our request. My advice: plan your project well in advance, at least 3 months. Shipping Review (4 Stars): RTA Cabinet Store shipped our order with R&L Carriers. Their tracking website is excellent, and they called well in advance to set up the delivery. Down side, they had our shipment at their local site for nearly a week before they delivered. Allow two weeks for shipping. Product Review (2 Stars): Out of 9 cabinets, 5 of our cabinets had FACTORY damage. Even though the sides are plywood, the backs of the wall cabinets are luan. I'd estimate they're only about 1/8th of an inch thick, very thin, with an additional strip at the top and bottom for hanging. The cabinets are held together with plastic clips. The placement for the shelves are very poorly designed. We ordered from the oak line, and there are noticeable color variations of the stain. Ultimately, we constructed new backs and drawers, glued the joints, and added additional braces for the base cabinets. If I had it to do again, I would have added metal brackets to the corners of the wall cabinets. Overall (3 Stars): We ordered this product because we wanted something with a higher quality than particle board but at a price point we could afford. My experience with RTA Cabinet Store was rather poor. When I ordered kitchen cabinets for our beach condo, I specifically left a note to tell them that I live 4 hrs away from the condo and asked them to notify me before delivering so I can arrange for receipt and install. After a week I didn't hear anything, I send an email to inquire and got a rather rude response. I never heard from them again. When I called 2 weeks later the trucking company had already picked the stuff up. They would have delivered to an empty condo if I had not called. Once it was delivered, it turned out some accessories (fillers) were missing. I notified the store via email the same morning (it was a Saturday). Since I already had people at the condo ready to install, we had to do without the missing parts. A few days later (after came from the beach), when I called the store to report the missing parts I discovered that they had sent the missing parts to the empty condo. During this time, there was absolutely no communication from them either by email or phone. Needless to say, I asked for a refund. The quality of the cabinet are not as good as other stores I have used before. The hardware they used to assemble the cabinets can been clearly seen from outside of the cabinets and are real eye sores. The plywood is cheap and thin. In conclusion, I'd not buy from them again.

Mixed feelings on these cabinets. On the plus side the cases are made of plywood rather than particle board. Problem is that ply has a bit of spring to it which makes getting the lip of the ply into the machined groove difficult. The connectors that hold the intersecting pieces of ply together were quite finicky and less friendly than the ones that Ikea uses. Drawer slides were only so-so, difficult to align properly given the way they were mounted. Biggest problem was that the cabinets came without any assembly instructions. I'm sure there was an optimal assembly sequence, but I had to guess at it. Instructions would have been very helpful Hint: if your putting these together a large set of one handed clamps (mine are made by Irwin and are about 20" long) are invaluable. But they do look quite nice.

I am extremely please with my dealings with RTACabinetStore.com. I purchased a large initial order as well as a few smaller supplemental orders, and all have been great. The few small issues were cleared up immediately, and they even cleared things up when a mistake turned out to clearly be my own fault. They were always very polite and understanding, and extremely helpful through every issue. The only slight complaint I can think of is that the shipping company charged me an extra $157 to deliver (for liftgate) since we did not have a loading dock or fork lift AT MY HOUSE! I'm not sure who does? I would figure anyone doing residential delivery would be accustomed to this. The cabinets are about what you would expect from Chinese imported knock down cabinets. A bit of wood glue goes a long way towards increasing the cabinet strength. The construction is sturdy, but the fit and finish obviously falls a little short of cabinets costing three or four times as much. That being said, they are an outstanding value. Here's my break down: Construction: 4/5 stars Fit and Finish: 3/5 stars Ease of Assembly: 5/5 stars Overall Value: 5/5 stars Customer Service: 6/5 stars When you consider just how much money you could spend on super expensive custom cabinetry, obviously cabinets at this price point wont be at the top. However the overall value and customer service are absolutely untouchable. I will give this a 5/5 star rating since I wholeheartedly recommend using RTAcabinetstore.com for any project where budget is a major concern.

I ordered cabinets last week and had them delivered to my condo in DC (not the easiest to get to with a big truck). There were NO issues with the delivery and the cabinets were easy to unload. It took just a couple of hours to assemble them and other than a few minor scratches on the sides (which you couldn't see once installed), the cabinets look great. I would highly recommend RTA for both the price and customer service.

I bought from RTA Cabinet Store a while back and was pleased overall with the quality of the product (I bought their brandywine cabinets). I live in Montana so shipping was a concern of mine and I did end up with a few damages. They did replace a few doors and a side I requested. Overall a good experience damages aside and would use them again if I ever needed cabinets. Plus the price is pretty much the cheapest you'll find. Budget friendly which is nice for a do it yourselfer like me.

Ok, so to be fair, the cabinets we ordered from RTA were very good quality. I ordered from Cabinet Giant the first time around, and also had great quality and great fast shipping, customer service was fabulous and no other company will beat it. If we needed anything extra, we had it in two days, verses three weeks with RTA, and they paid the shipping. We read some reviews on RTA so decided to give them a try. On our first time order from RTA, we did have two damaged cabinets. We filed our claim by everything they wanted, pictures, etc.., that was on Feb 21st. It now is March 14th, and still do not have our replacement parts to finish our kitchen. Very frustrating, and have not gotten no where with Customer Service. Also, ordered other accessories on Feb. 25th that we didn't figure correctly, and paid VERY high shipping charges., Paid same price for shipping as the parts themselves, and they do NOT give you a discount on shipping everything together, so my advice would be, Do NOT Screw up your order or you will pay for it through their shipping charges and very long lead times. They told me 7-10 days tops, and we are far beyond that. I don't know what I have to do to get my cabinets, and I have called them every day with a promise to get a call back, and nothing. If anyone else is having a problem with RTA please speak up. This was my first and only order from RTA. WE have several Rentals, and I will go through Cabinet Giant for sure! You can't beat the customer service and quality, and that speaks alot when you have deadlines.

Thanks RTA Cabinet Store. I am a local kitchen designer in the Philadelphia metropolitan-area and recently used this company for one of my personal properties. I have used ready-to-assemble cabinets in the past for some of my clients and expierienced a few hiccups with the quality; However this company utilizes an all wood box with solid maple doors, face-frames, and drawer boxes on the cabinets I purchased for my kitchen. I was very surprised to find that the quality was the similar to, if not better than some of the custom cabinets I have ordered from various suppliers in the past being that they were an all-wood construction. They were easy to assemble and my kitchen turned out great! With all of the money I saved on the cabinets, I was able to buy the industrial range I wanted and the fridge of my dreams - Very, very happy about that… Who wouldn't be!? For the price and over-all quality of the cabinets I will definitely be using them again not only for myself but also for my clients... My only complaint would be that I couldn't get through the phone-lines to reach customer service when trying to get a question answered… I guess thats expected with large companies sometimes.. - Mark W.
