StudioSmith Architecture met with my husband and I to consult with us on a current home that we wanted to renovate. We lived in a 1950 home that need updating. We wanted a home that had a more open flow and higher ceilings. We talked to Byron Smith about the style of home we liked (Mediterranean/Tuscan/European) and I showed pictures of homes and interiors that we loved. We all decided that our home should be taken down to the foundation and rebuilt. Byron worked on new plans based on what we liked and the pictures that I had given him. Byron was spot on with the plans including arches that I loved. We are so happy with the exterior and interior look of our home. It was exactly what we dreamed it would be. The home is brand new but has so much character of a home that we would find on a trip in the Mediterranean.

Byron worked with us to design a plan that met our family needs, while also ensuring that our home was situated nicely on our lot. He balanced our desire for specific floor plan aspects with his knowledge of scale and design, and created a beautiful dwelling. He worked with us from concept to completion and advised us along the way with various style and finishing details. His patience with our lack of knowledge on building along with his ability to visualize an end result and communicate that vision to us was unmatched. We highly recommend his services.

Byron is a highly talented architect! he was able to take the ideas I gave him for my house and deliver renderings that exceeded my expectations. He appears to have a lot of demand for his time, as most good architects right now, but when we do communicate he is fully engaged in my project.
