The problem is figuring what types of colors are appropriate for the style of the house. Then there is difficulty in matching a four color palette.

There are very few Arts and Crafts homes left. So i want to preserve the look of it. People who love these home are lover's and fan's for life.

Ok so we stuck with a cranberry for the trim and a light beige with red tint almost for the walls...looks really nice actually. The more litte trim things you paint the nicer it looks. I just wish the summer would set in and rain GO away !!

Ok so the rain is gone and the sun is here. We decided on black for the trim 4th color combination. The rest will be decided when we move in.

Drove by the place am I am astounded at how great the house looks. Thanks for all the advice everyone. I'm well pleased with the way things have turned out. I just wish the sun would now come out for more than one day. Oh the joys of Vancouver living.

I always love it when these old craftsman homes have a great paint job that includes 2 different trim colors, plus the main house color. Always makes all the exterior details pop.

Your right sherri if you go one more step and add the fourth color things really begin to shine.

There is a greasy go about the this spring season and how to use the colours more carefully this time around. If it is done properly it should make the house look really really great. I wonder if it helps to have better door hardware or is it really worth the cost.

Probably worth the effort to do so after all.
