What do I do with our front porch?

I want to redo our front porch. I thought about building a small deck and wanted to stain it. Was going to stain it dark brown and use brass screws however the drive way is black and the door is black so brown won't go.

Other options are pour concrete or build stairs and tile it. Would love some suggestions.

The first thing that I will say I like the stones :)
next you could make the step as wide as the door then place a tall vase on the left side of the door ,a welcoming mat a new light and a house number if you don't already have one .
Then plant a little edge to follow the design of the stones or a row of Hosta . if you can add a path next to the driveway it might help also add more flowers to give your place curb appeal:)

your house is tan, dont worry about the drive way.....paint your screen door, and your front door, also change out the light fixture.

A deck would be very pretty. Don't worry about the black driveway; it's not the pants to your shoes. :)

Paint the white areas of the screen and window, and find a pretty complimentary color for the door. Color is in now, so don't be afraid to move away from black/brown/beige neutrals. :)

Oh, and after you do the deck, add some tolerant potted plants and a weather friendly chair or bench.

One huge flowerpot in corner. I love birdbaths with continues flow of water. A yellow or orange door( to add to the mix).
