This is old comment but figured I'd reply anyways for future browsers. No this lift is not meant to be used to work on the vehicle, its meant for adding space to the garage only for more vehicles.

There are lifts you can get that allow you to work on the vehicle and lift the car into the air rather then hide it below in the floor. Just depends on what you want.

Likely this person has enough money and a lack in time that he just pays someone to work on his cars for him.

This garage is beautiful! Not sure I would call it a man cave but, whatever it is its definately very high quality and I could alot of time in a garage like that. The wood is really makes it so nice.
