flow around peninsula?

Any comments on this kitchen layout would be helpful. I am unsure about the peninsula creating a problem with the flow of the kitchen from the back door or from the dining room. I do need a kitchen office area (which is what this peninsula is going to create). Any suggestions? I live in an arts & crafts home in Oak Park, IL. Also, the stove configuration seems odd, should I change to flanking stove with 2 cabinets on left, 3 on right?

Hi Renee, I do agree the peninsula is a bit awkward since you'll have to go around it everytime you are going from one room to another. You might want to turn it around and make it shallower to 18", which would be perfect for a desk / office space. I would build some walls around the desk to make it more a custom look.

For the stove, it will be better to move it to the left a bit so you have more space around the corner in case 2 people want to cook at the same time.
