Why not paint everything a faded denim or pale sage color?

The cabinets would blend better with the room if they were an off white that coordinates better with your flooring. The white as it is seems too stark to me. I would also personally prefer a longer bar type pull for all the cabinets. I would put the money into a nice piece of granite on the island as well. The backsplash would look nice in a pewter/ taupe glass subway tile that coordinates with the grout colour and dark cabinet colour on the island. I love the look of the dark island with the lighter cabinets, and would keep the handles on all the same to tie them together.Paint would be nice in a neutral taupe, pewter, warm gray cole, but really need to see what other furniture and decorating you have in order to choose a colour I would also be tempted to change the appliances to stainless steel ...... For the time being i think your kitchen looks fine. But IMO your backsplash needs some pizzaz as in the above photo. You can use a different color paint for the back splash as i think there's just too much white going on

Your floor tile is off white and your cabinetry is white. This combination doesn't blend well. So you can either paint your cabinets or change the floor tile. The less expensive option is to paint. The light sage suggestion was good and/or maybe a gray. Either color would allow you to see the white countertops. Right now they blend in with the cabinets.

Actually, tile would be less pricey to change, assuming the cabinets are OK.
