Seek kitchen island design ideas

Current kitchen island is attached to weight bearing wall, which separate kitchen and dining room. Would like to make it a free standing one if possible. It either has an induction cooktop or just for entertaining. Ideally, it has a few sitting space to remove a small breakfast table from the kitchen.
Dilemma: kitchen floor space from counter to walls 9.5ft x 13ft. Removal of weight bearing wall is over our budget.
1) What's the ideal size of the island?
2) Where to put it without cramming kitchen floor?

Having a hard time grasping the layout of your space. Am thinking that if you want to eliminate the kitchen table you have a great corner for more cabinetry and counter space. Do you have this cooktop and a standing stove next to the sink? What is the dark thing on the ceiling above the cooktop? We could use better well lighted pix. Can you comment here and use the AI button below the comment box to add more shots? Maybe you could sketch out and scan in a rough floor plan.

Sorry for the poor quality of pics. We have a cook range next to the sink. The island cooktop is not functioning. The dark "cloud" above the island is the exhaust fan.
We are remodeling kitchen, replacing cook range with an induction cooktop and wall oven, all cabinets and appliances. Due to space limitation, don't have much freedom to change overall layout, except the island. Attaching 2 ideas for the layout. Thanks.

The main appliance change I'd make would be to put a counter depth fridge left of the the sink for easy offloading of foods to be prepped at sink. Keep in mind a good work triangle between sink, fridge and stove. The stove can be the remotest point of the triangle but the fridge and sink need better proximity to each other. If you still want a breakfast table look you could try similar to one of these.

Could you eliminate that island, and put the island on the other side of the kitchen where it looks like your dishwasher is? Hard to see the layout, plus I'm bad at spatial visualizing.
