I bought a new bathmat and was ready to toss the old one, then the "good idea" hit me. My old mat had a sort of fringe on it to make stand less slippery, I'm not sure how to describe it any better. I took it outside and placed it in front of the back door as an entry mat. It works great! with 2 dogs and myself wandering around the yard there is almost always some thing stuck on my shoes or their paws. By using the old bathmat I can clean my shoes, even the little curly designs that shoes have on their soles comes off. A quick rinse with the hose and the mat is clean again. I'm sure glad I did not throw it away.
