I am about to move into a brand new apartment and I'm so nervous about getting the flooring wrong!! I have so many ideas n worry that they'll make the space look smaller. I have chosen high gloss white cabinets in the kitchen as I also want a high gloss white table and funky coloured chairs. when I was looking for kitchen tiles I fell in love with a sparkling tile, which I plan to intersperse with a matt tile in the same size, about 25cm Sq. My worry is that having a black floor in the kitchen area will make the space shrink! I am pretty much decided on an oak flooring in the livingroom space, will this work!? below are pictures of kitchen area looking from living room end, the chairs (although not the table) and the tile. any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated. many thanks
