This is a very attractive deck/step design. How did you construct it?

I have a modest level of carpentry skills. How difficult is this project on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being not difficult at all and 10 being very difficult? I hope to replace a deck on my daughter's house with a similar design.

It required a bit of engineering planning to calculate the cantilevers! I also drew out a framing sketch first. Once it was drawn out, it required only typical deck-building skills.

No problems with the open space beneath the top level. The client decided not to stain the deck and let it weather naturally.
As I said above, the deck required a lot of advance planning with the framing. I generated a detailed framing plan for the builder.
