We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen. We are stuck on what color we should have our cabinets be. I originally wanted a dark rich brown color and then I thought maybe white cabinets might be nice. I am worried about the white being too sterile and the dark making the kitchen look too dark. We will be adding an awning going out our back door that will be over all of the windows to the kitchen/dining room. We also want to have granite countertops with warm neutral tones like creme, taupes, browns throughout. WE also want to stain our floors a darker color. This will be the last remodel til retirement and probably the last house we live in. Any advice would be very appreciated. We need to make a decision this week. Any help on colors for cabinets, countertops,backsplash and flooring would be great! We have stainless steel appliances already. The contractor wants us to decide on cabinet color first this week. My taste is more contemporary; however definitely not country. The pantry doors to the right of the refrigerator would also be part of the cabinet remodel. thank you for any advice!
