Nice shelf unit! Sorry to say, but I think you should rehang your art. They should all be moved in about 4 inches. I will try to find an example to post for you.

You might want to consider making the frames or mats similar in colour. Here's a few examples of spacing to give you an idea. Note that the space between each piece is the same:


You can always balance out art with the items on top of the unit.

thanks for the tips you are right I might need more pictures to fill the wall up properly and have less spacing between pictures. Am considering family pictures in color complementing frames, might be easier to find than artwork. Would that look odd to add here?

Picture groupings look better with a "theme"...similar frames, topics, colors and should be placed closer together (the above pic on left is a good example of all these). It's not easy and best bet is to look for items that give you the look you want...then place items on the floor and keep rearranging until you are happy with the result. It's more pleasing not to have that much going on when accessorizing. Perhaps just add a lamp and your three candles and that should be enough, especially with the glassed cabinets which expose more items. It really helps to arrange items in there as well, so as to make that whole wall work as one.
