Ira, did you ever find out what kind of stain was used on those cabinets? I have been hunting for wood stains that look similar to this one. The various types of wood stain colors, look vastly different on different types of wood. Another words, you can use one stain choice, and get three different looks when you use three different wood samples. I found a stain finish called Pickled White by Sherwin Williams that we are going to try out on maple wood. I saw the stain on a birch wood sample and have a feeling that it will look even better on maple wood.
