where are you putting it? if above the bed do gray if somewhere else less pink do pink. don't do lavender unless you have at least one other thing purple in the room.

Is the chandelier posted (lavender) the same as the pink? The scale looks quite small for the space - what is the diameter of the chandelier?

the scale is too small unless you are hanging over the end table. that being said, i would go a bronze chandelier and buy some colored crystals. this way as she grows out of pink and the room. the fixture can remain and the crystals can be changed.

The chandelier is a 12inch mini chandelier. Thinking of hanging it from ceiling in center of room. Would also change the nightstand lamp to a small purple lamp. Would the purple look ok with the pink walls, black and pink bedspread and gray furniture?

or you could go white with shades that can be changed out.

The chandelier is white with lavender crystals. I could always change the crystals out as she gets older. Would the lavender clash with the pink walls and gray furniture and the pink and black bedspread?

Why can't you just spray paint it white?? It would work w/the curtains and trim..

I'm also changing out the pink lamp on the nightstand to a purple lamp. Does anyone think it will look ok with the 2 lavender pieces I'm adding?

White with pink shades need to be much bigger an lamp beside bed. Like the curtains.

I would go with a crystal or an acrylic crystal chandelier in clear, pink or purple. If you are going gray a black crystal chandelier might be to much. I have a pink office (and I am 58!) and have all sorts of dangly things, candles, jewelry boxes that bring in other colors.

I like the room so far. I would keep the bedspread the way it is as it goes perfectly with the pink walls. A lavender spread would be odd with the pink in my opinion. I would use crystal or gray for the chandelier/lamps. There is already enough black. White would work as well but just crystal will reflect whatever colors are in the room even if you change everything else down the road. In other words it is neutral.

I am really torn - I do like the black but also agree with a white base color (ties in with the white trimwork in the room) Perhaps something along these lines?

I would change the bedding to mostly white with lavender and pink accents. Then use the lavender chandelier. I think the black is too dark and the white would lighten up the room, plus tie in the lavender and pink.

Have you seen on Houzz GIRL'S BEDROOM by metamorphoses design? It was one of the first bedrooms on the first page I came across when I did a search for our bedroom under "black and gray bedrooms."

I agree with the comments about the bedding. It's too "old" looking for a girl. Find something more light hearted. Maybe with grey, pink, lilac and white. Right one the drapes don't match anything that we can see in the photo. It has good potential though. How about a big canvas print above the bed. You can get them made online or gave your family paint one.

I would go with black for drama. If you want to use the lavender one that you have you will need to add lavender accessories to the room to tie in the extra colour.

If this is a girl becoming a teen soon, then I would do a little more of a grown up room. Pink & gray go very nice together and you can still keep the chandelier. There is way tooo much pink in the room and the dark comforter darkens the room even more.

I like a light gray wall with white duvet and pink accents, now the chandelier will actually stand out more instead of blend in with the pink wall in the background. If a girl likes pink, a girl likes pink, my daughter is the same.

I forgot to mention, my daughter used to have the exact same chandelier. Eventhough it is lavender, it looks like a darker pink so it will still go nice with the pink & gray room.

What age is the girl? I love the above pics and color combo. Yet preteen and teens do like the darker colors. I have all boys who thought Black and red were the only colors on the planet. Now one of them loves the teal and black. I say, if you know your daughter, follow what she would like best.

i sugest to explore the option on a whote cristal or black ... white cristal lamp will make the room look bigger and slick...

I applaud you on your boldness with your color scheme. Certainly a chandelier would be fabulous in this room. Many that others have been suggested would be wonderful. But if I may, I would make other suggestions. In my humble opinion, the small picture over the bed is out of proportion to the amount of wall space. I would either find something longer and taller, a grouping, a monogram appliqué or the like to fill the space above the bed, or leave it completely blank. If you do plan to use a beautiful dramatic chandelier, I would take down the, (please excuse my term), pom-poms near the windows. I think it would detract from your chandelier and there seems to be a lot going on up there. I very much like the bedspread, however if it were my design, I would break up the pattern with pillows of solid black and/or assorted patterns of chevron, stripes.. dots, or the like. To make it really pop, painting the headboard white would be brilliant against your beautiful walls and compliment the white sheer curtains. Then, you could add white into the pillows or other accents for an extra WOW factor. This is certainly more than you asked for, but I hope you find it helpful. This really caught my eye on twitter.
