If the goal is to keep out heat but preserve the view, I'd recommend solar shades. We have them on south-facing windows and they're great.

Is there an option to paint this wall an accent color? Given that it's not that large and has three windows, it would give things a pop without being overwhelming.

Alternatively, put one long curtain rod (get the wood ones and join them with screws) to go across all 3 windows (multiple brackets). Then put pretty drapes on the left and right ends as stack-backs - not ever intended to be functional.
