Was wondering what the type of wood floors?

We live in Minneapolis are looking to stain our yellow birch floors a similar color. Thanks!

The floors are red oak, which takes a dark stain beautifully and keeps its warmth even when dark. Birch can be more difficult to stain, but it is still possible. I would suggest talking with Amy Schaefer of Schaefer Hardwood Floors (they have a showroom on Lake and Bryant)
