With tall ceilings like this , you have a lot of potential.
Incidentally I made a concept render for someone weeks ago who had a similar looking house to you. Very similar.
You also have similar layout and fireplace.

For the entry I would suggest a tall dramatic chandelier, and a solid wood console and artwork that you love. Storage boxes can go under if you need. Do you have any rug /Runner or any console in mind? Or do you need somewhere to sit?

Yes, completely agree with SF interiors, a tall dramatic chandelier would be perfect for your tall ceiling!

The render I posted gives you an idea of how large and dramatic your chandelier can go ( if you want it large and a conversation piece)

Here any kind of console table in a wood or soft ivory would work well with the rest of your house and pretty flexible to work with any other style.

Obviously I would bring the painting down closer to the console and center it. This painting in particular is cheap but I suggest finding artwork you love or even a mirror to bounce off light. Another idea is to buy an oversized mirror ( or make your own with a bunch) and use that as the entry piece focal. The wood table is A little pricey.
