Hi,

We currently have a 12th wooden deck with no stairs. We are thinking about (A) expanding the deck to 12th and putting composite deck and a stair or (B) putting a patio in front of the home (this is actually the side of the home but this is facing front as you enter the driveway and connected to the yard).

We think we will use more time in patio than the deck because the deck is tucked in the corner.

Would you share your thoughts and if you prefer a patio, could you recommend the shape, material, color? I am thinking about using the same tiles and bricks used in our porch. Please refer to photos.
