Theatre room with windows

We have a playroom upstairs that has a large TV on the wall opposite the windows seen. Our goal is to turn this into a theatre room (with surround sound), and an important step is to add curtains to the windows (or something else...we are open to suggestions) that can block out light when desired, but not impose on the view from the windows when they are open. The ceiling is vaulted but does become flat for 1-2 feet in the center over the palladian window (see pic #2), and the space between the ceiling and window trim gets very tight at the ends of the room.

Any ideas on HOW to hang curtains, or do something that could be done to block out light (which usually casts a glare on the TV screen during the day) in a room like this with tight spacing on each ends (that wouldn't really allow big decorative end caps on the rods) and vaulted ceilings

Thanks Nick. I was going to use blackout curtains but actually was wondering how to hang them. I haven't seen anything that becomes nearly flush with the arch in the window. Any ideas on where to purchase the items you're talking about?

I guess it technically isn't Palladian since it isn't 1 window in 3 parts. But I'd prefer to keep them as they are in their gloriously "fake" beauty since we are given compliments regarding them all the time. As I mentioned in my question: I need advice on how to hang curtains around the windows so as to block out light when closed but maintain the view when opened. Plantation shutters are gorgeous and they even come in arches but I'm afraid they will interfere with the view too much even when the shutters are open

I suggest simple blackout blinds. We have them in all the bedrooms and the entertainment center in my house and some are automatic even, which would be great for the Palladian since it's so high. They just screw into the top of the window framing and go down to the "shelf" of the window, or the base. they eliminate almost all light, and when closed take up very little space. I would suggest this over curtains because of the Palladian.

I can't tell what the outside of the house is like, but I don't like those fake arched windows. They're anything but "Paladian." I'd remove the window so you just have 3 similar windows, an easy curtaining task. Consider plantation shutters.
And lower the mirror over the sofa on the left. First, center it spatially between the sofa back and the ceiling, then lower it a couple inches.

There are plenty of Hunter Douglas window coverings to solve this glare problem. Then, do decorative valances, or decorative drapery panels for the real wow factor, especially with your vaulted ceiling.

You can also add window tint for the glare issue.

Isn't the kiddo on the wrong side of the gate? :)

Window tint might be a good idea too. I guess my goal was to block out as much light as possible when the curtains, blinds, or whatever were closed. Trying to hide that windows exist in that area when we want it completely dark...but not block the view at all when they are open. Is there a roman shade that works for arched windows that becomes nearly flush with the arch at the top when rolled up?
