DCS range deal

I'm about to start a gut/remodel of an old house. My budget is tight, but I had planned to splurge a little on my range. I've found a "new" 10 year old DCS 304 30" range that was purchased for a lake house and never installed. Has been boxed in garage. Asking 800$. The price is right but not sure about 30" vs 36" and have read mixed reviews about DCS. Obviously there will be no warranty. Any thoughts?

I'd base the size of the range in the size if the home. If it's a large family home and a big kitchen, 36". If the place is smaller 30" is fine.

It is 1900 sf and kitchen open to living area. Not huge!
