Robin, bonderized steel is a really good, inexpensive material, but it is not guaranteed not to get some white rust over time. We have had great luck with it here in Wyoming in a pretty dry climate, so not sure about other climates. It requires no maintenance, and the way we attached it, with surface screws, requires slotted holes to allow for expansion and contraction,

Thanks. Did you leave a small seam between the sections on all four sides? They look pretty tight in the pix which is the look we like. Did you use Bonderized screws so their changes match the flat steel?

We love that checkerboard look on the garage. It looks like maybe you turned the sheets 90 degrees to achieve that? That's an awesome little house. It conveys simple living at its finest.

We get about 10" precip here in the high desert in New Mexico so may not have issues with white rust but would welcome it if it looked good.

I left a question under the comments but will ask here. Did you put laundry facilities in the garage?

I just used Western Doors and Windows. Corporate office located in Phoenix. They can build anything from floor to ceiling. My home exterior walls are Omni Block and poured solid every 4' with concrete. The exterior window doors I installed were installed into the block. Anyway. Check them out too. Laundry is in the house, very compact stacked W/D. NM should be a good climate for bonderized steel.

Thx. Is the laundry in a closet behind the master bedroom? In one pix it looks like the closet is between the front & sidewall adjacent to master bedroom. In another I see a door to perhaps the bathroom in the same spot. We using stacking W/D too-thank goodness for space savers. Just love this house.

Hi Robin, I was just suggesting them if you were looking for windows/doors. I was going to go with those stackable ones too, but since I have horse property and dogs, I liked the bottom track on the two slider. Much easier to clean. Here is one of my windows.
