No. A well designed master bathroom is more important than whether or not there are jets in the tub. Of course, some people may prefer it but others will think it may not be hygienic. Spend your money somewhere else.

All depends on the real estate market you are in. In my area, jetted tubs used to be a must (even though most people never used them). Now, I am frequently pulling out tubs to make room for bigger showers.

People are actually moving away from these things due to the maintenance issues. Less manufacturers are making them now as a result. The problem is that when the plumbing in the unit fills with water and doesn't get used for a while, that water becomes stagnant and grows mold which then shoots out when you turn it on. Most of the user manuals for these things require that you do a very thorough cleaning every month which nobody is going to do. I personally have one in my home and I will be getting rid of it at the first opportunity.

Thank you all! You've convinced me we should replace our old jacuzzi with a soaking tub. I wish we could get one of those beautiful freestanding tubs, but it's for an alcove, and includes a shower, so I think our options are more limited. Still, the regular tub solves the problem of the ugly apron or expensive tile around the tub to hide the motor.

In our market (Seattle) they are considered a liability. Large free standing soaking tubs are in vogue and we routinely tear out jacuzzi's in remodels.

I had one in a previous home and actually found it irritating. It was noisy and made too many bubbles and I actually didn't find it relaxing at all. This latest home I just had a reg tub.
So I would say no, it won't affect resale.

I agree. Jacuzzis were a trend at one point, but that trend has passed in most markets.

I'm a tub girl but don't like jetted tubs because they aren't sanitary. I like a nice simple deep soaker tub. Skip the jets.
