Funiture Placement in Great Room

Good day,
We are having a bit of a design dilemma on figuring out how to place our furniture in our new home. Our great room measures 20' x 14', and back onto our kitchen (see attached). We are thinking we should add the TV drop above the fireplace in order to 'balance' the room, as currently the drop is located on the West wall. We are proposing to set things up as per the photo, however am interested if anyone has any other ideas on how we might lay things down. Would there be a way to leave the TV drop where it is and lay things down in a reasonable way?

If you want to keep the same furniture simply do a mirror image of what you have now.

Seems the tight dimension is between island and fire - leave tv as is, and place sofa facing that wall / perpendicular to fire - and well away so two chairs can be placed at fire - ottoman between and before the fireplace. Use swiveling barstools at the island. You've got room for one long sofa, and could even use a backless chaise underneath / with its back to the tv for when you don't have it on . .

I really would like to try and make use of the furniture we already have, but perhaps something like this would be good? I.e. use the small portion to face the sofa in the above layout?

In the current layout, what if I was to put the loveseat facing the sofa. Not a layout I recall seeing before, but if you can see the TV behind the loveseat....

Have you tried this new layout and putting the other sofa with it's back to the kitchen? Then use one chair to the left of the FP
Very pretty room- I like the windows, should give you a nice feel in the space

Yes that's what I was thinking. You could even move the rug a little closer to the FP.

See how far closer to the fire place the furniture can be, this way you can make room for an extra slim console table (~ 5-6 inches deep) behind the sofa that's in front of the kitchen island. Sometimes the back of sofas aren't interesting to look at , but if not than it should still be fine.

Awesome, thank you so much for the input! Once we move in in a few weeks and set things up I will be sure to take some pictures. I like the ideal of the slim console table - we will investigate if there is room or not once we have things set up.
