I have pine stairs, and we just put in a new red oak post and banaster with rod iron spindels. the floor in the hallway are tan tile the upstairs hallway are natural oak. We can't replace the stairs but they don't match anything the floors or the new red oak. I want to know if it would look ok to paint the stairs white and then put a brown runner up them and stain the banitser mahogany (minwax) and paint the posts white? the walls are a tan and the wood work is white. Would love some advice please!!!
