I'd suggest keeping it neutral, you don't want to take away from the tile. White, very light grey....something along those lines.

I would do quartz also (Cambria, Silestone, etc.). Backsplash is your drama, so keep countertop simple.

I would use UBA TUBA or VERDE BUTTERFLY

As simple as possible. Maybe (if you can live with it) dandy marble or luna di luna marble. I was afraid of marble, so I went with river white (minimal variations and smooth veins). The manufactured quartz products are a good choice too. I have a dramatic backsplash and wanted it to be the centerpiece.

Maybe something with a fleck of green in it like a black granite with green in it? I'm not sure if that's possible though...

Thanks! If I go with quartz (Silestone), is there a particular white or gray color you'd recommend? There are so many to choose from. Some have flecks of color, while others look more solid.
