If you are an artist and create objects with mixed media then it is normal to have bits and pieces of about everything. It may look junk for some people but it is treasure for you. So I recommend that you try to sort your different materials by categories. For me to be creative I need to see the materials I have, so I keep them in shallow cabinets or I keep them in clear plastic cabinets with drawers that you can roll.

I should mention that I clearly labeled each shelf or drawer so I remember to put things back in their original place. This helps a lot to stay organized.

Labelled bIns! My only slightly saving grace is to have lots and lots of clear plastic shoe box sized bins (or bigger sizes if your items tend to be larger than beads, ribbon, scraps of this and that). I organize by like items, but whatever categories that work for you is best!
