Thank you for your inquiry! The appliance here in the island is a Sharp microwave drawer. The opening above the trash can to the right of this microwave features a paper towel holder. There is a small metal mat to keep water from spotting up on the cabinetry. We have plenty of storage in the island including a mixer lift for the large Kitchenaid mixer, dividers for tupperware and lids, plate holders and overflow pots and pans storage. There are places for baking sheets and cutting boards in a pantry space near the main sink and also overflow storage for this on the back side of the island. An oven can easily be housed in the island as well. I hope that is helpful!
