Kitchen design question

Hi, I picked out a bianco torrone granite and it is beautiful. I plan to have clean simple lines for the cabinets and floors so as not to compete with the granite. My question pertains to backsplash. I ordered a 4" backsplash and was considering what to put above that. Does anyone have advice as to whether I can run the bianco torrone up the wall as the backsplash between the counter and the upper cabinets? Would it be overpowering? Do you have a suggestion for what kind of backsplash to use? Should we go with the 4" granite and then use tile? Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

I would cancel the 4" backsplash and just install glass subway tile from the counter this granite can have many colors so choose one and get tile and grout in that color. I think the granite would be too much as a whole backsplash.

The granite you’ve chosen is beautiful! But I agree do not put in the 4” backsplash! You didn’t mention what color your cabinets are or what style you want for your kitchen. Depending on that you could go with the granite all the way to the top cabinets but that will give you a more modern look and depending on just how much movement is in the granite itself could be a little overwhelming. Can you upload a pic of your kit for more suggestions.

Would you consider your kitchen big or small? The reason I ask is because in smaller kitchens granite up the walls can be overwhelming depending on the pattern. I still love the idea of the full granite backsplash paired with undercabinet lights. Not only does it add to the aesthetics but task lighting will make your kitchen functional too. Also, I like the idea how you can just wipe the granite instead of wiping over several grout lines. It's still a pricey option, however.

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. I am demolishing my current kitchen and incorporating the current dining room into a new kitchen that will be 250 square feet of floor space. I have some photos I will try to upload of what I have do far. Thanks so much for your input!

Here are some photos. I will take your advice and not add the 4" granite backsplash. Any ideas as to what might work that won't be too busy or detract from the granite?
