WE TOOK AWAY WALL OVEN TO CONNTECT ROOM - WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Hello - Below is the design of the back room of our kitchen. The first pic had the wall oven/convection oven combo on the wall....but there was an awkward space between the fridge/pantry section and the wall oven that I just couldnt wrap my mind around. The second pic gets rid of the wall oven and connects the room better I think? What are your thoughts comments about getting rid of wall oven and connecting room. Thx.

I like the first design better. With a large kitchen space, it works very well to have some open areas like that.

I would not give up convection wall oven but, I am an avid cook/baker.

Actually, we are not giving it up because we are putting it in the island area. I am just trying to get your general feelings on the design......To the right of the fridge there is a six foot archway entering into a very large greatroom......so it is not a closed off kitchen at all.

The first design also feels awkward to me. I prefer second one. Maybe its because wall oven is at 90 degree angle to wall- i had that once in a house and it always bugged me-and its hard to get oven grease splatter off your wall. I use kitchen a lot so the most important design issue for me is that the "kitchen work triangle" is incorporated in design, so that would be my advice. Congrats on ur new kitchen!

I like it much better with the counter extended to the fridge.

Happy that the appliance did not have to be sacrificed! I prefer the counter extending to the refrigerator as well.

you can put your wall oven next to the refrigerator follow by corner cabinets
