If the bedroom is for a girl, I'd use white, and if for a boy, then dark. With navy, white and tan, I don't think you really need an accent color. However, if you must have one, then you could consider turquoise or orange. In fact, you could paint the nightstand the accent color.

Either white or dark would work, and the accent color depends on the beddings and what is happening in the room.
