This is what I wanted to do. The photos on home design have the large bar but I want to do something similar to this but include a table in the island.

You will not have much room to add the dining table to it. If you look to the right you'll see a part of a wall that we could not take out because it was load bearing. You could probably bump the back exterior wall out and make the kitchen area a little larger to do what you are wanting to do

Yes, we wanted yo bump the back put and expand dining and master.
