Thoughts and/or suggestions on my updated nook?

I previously posted, asking for some direction on what to do with my nook in my apartment. I've updated it and have attached a before and after pic to see what your thoughts are and if you have any suggestions on my updates. Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I like your ideas! I purchased the wallpaper at Target and it was challenging to apply it by myself. So through trial and error, I ran out of paper and had to stop it right below the table. I agree I need to finish that piece. How tall of a lamp are you suggesting? Thank you!!

The lamp could be about 30" high, give or take an inch or two. What happened to the nice painting that was on the wall in your before photo? If you still have it, would it look good on the left hand wall, opposite the doorway?

Looks good. I love that wallpaper there. I would do that whole wall!!

a foot stool underneath the table would look cute. It would also hide the lack of paper below, if you leave it like that.

I have a few pieces of decor that I have no idea where to put.... One of them being the large turquoise canvas seen in my before photo. See attached photos of what I've got to decorate with... If you have any ideas let me know :) thank you!!

Try the canvas on the wall to the left in your photos, opposite the doorway. We'd have to see other areas of your house to know where to place the other items.

I wish your TV were on on the wall opposite the sofa. I realize that the person sitting in the chaise would not be able to view it but is that actually a popular place for someone to sit to watch TV? If not, please consider moving it.

The items currently on the wall opposite the sofa are hung too high. Maybe your TV used to be there?? Enough of my nit picking...what you asked was for a possible home for some of your other items. The black wire candleholder is interesting and I'd like to see it on that wall in the kitchen where the peninsula meets the wall.

My TV is actually on the wall opposite of my sofa :) you make great points though. The chaise lounge has always been a difficult piece of furniture to coordinate in every home.

I'm confused! The photo shows your TV angled in the corner by a door and the kitchen.
Where I want to see it is just below where the white vase is on a small shelf on the wall opposite the sofa.

Oh I see what you are saying! Ha ha :) you are thinking the tv in the nook area...

I really like the wallpaper. I would complete the entire wall

And a longer white desk, with a bowl of some type to catch key's and such

I would do the entire wall in that wallpaper. Put a long, narrow table/console table in front with a few key objets. Hang a good-sized mirror above. May add a lamp on the table. This would make a great statement as you open the door into your apartment and see this at the opposite end in your nook area. The mirror would also brighten up that nook corner. I like your pops of teal/turquoise in the apartment.

I would also suggest that canvas of the swooshed colours you had in the BEFORE pic could go on the wall above the peninsula. Not too high.

Sorry, perhaps the canvas is too wide for the peninsula wall...I'm not sure on your sizes? If it fits, I think it'd be really nice there and help to carry/tie your colours around the rooms.

I love your colors and love the art above the sofa.

In the nook, on each side of the stripe paper, I would add two corded wall light sconces. There are cord covers for these. Then paint the covers and they will tend to disappear They will help to brighten the space.

I think I would get more strips to add 'two' more stripes spaced apart on the wider left wall.

In the middle of the two added paper stripes, on the wall paint, I would add the iron diamond in the middle of a vertical grouping. The two turquoise mirrors stacked above and below the diamond, in the blank wall space between the two paper stripes on the left wall.

I would place the white vase from the living room shelf, moved to the nook table in the center in front of the paper stripe, with the large photo that is on the chaise table top.

It might be fun to paint the depth of the recessed archway in turquoise.

For the living room, I would place the TV opposite the sofa. Rearrange the shelves around the TV. close to the TV. Now, they are a little too spread out on the wall.

On the small table next to the chaise ...... I would simplify the decor. Remove the large photo frame and move to the nook table. Replace the vase with a shorter one. It looks a bit crowded.

You could use the gold framed mirror on the nook table as a tray, that will reflect some light and add sparkle.

No, Kenz, I do not want the TV in the nook area. I want it the same place that LB wants it, opposite the sofa.
