I love the suggestion of orange.....I never thought I'd like orange but the more I look at the picture, the more I like it. Thanks!! Should I leave the trim around the doors in the brown or paint them white to match the windows. Eventually we'll be replacing all of the brown with white.

Would a blue look odd???

Blue would have to be carefully chosen due to the green color. It might need to be in the same hue. I think the biggest difference you can make would be to paint that brown trim white.

I agree that choosing blue will be difficult so I think I'll stick with the red/orange family.

I have a burnt orange door, too. You won't regret it!!!!

I've chosen to use Benjamin Moore's "Mars Red"......can't wait to get started.

Too late for periwinkle blue....the Mars Red is already done. Yes I actually did have a table cloth in a burnt orange that I draped over the door.....that's such a great way to get the whole picture instead of from a little paint swatch. Thanks!!!

It's done and I love the colour!! Thanks for all of your suggestions because I probably would have picked beige!! One last request for help: it's a very awkward door to figure out where the trim should start and end because the "door" on the right is fake. I chose to paint it all Mars Red except for the little window trim. I felt that if I painted the original trim moulding, the colour would really jump out. Would anyone have done it different?? Thanks again!!

Great job - I think you made the right decision, of course! The white is fine, but if the window had mullions, creating panes, I'd paint them too. Since it doesn't, I think you're fine with white.

Very nice. I see you painted the mail box also which added to the over-all look.

Just one more thing. The garden to the right, could you give it a bit of a curve instead of straight across. Would look much better. Or bring the rights side down a bit, with a curve. Can't see what's to the right.

The big plan for this fall or next spring is to extend the flower bed to almost wrap around the evergreen tree, so yes you are absolutely right when you say adding a curve to it would look better. Thanks for the support!!!
This new orange door has sparked my enthusiasm to continue working on the appearance of this house. I'm climbing up on a ladder this long weekend to change that brown trim to white. Can't wait to see it all come together!
