Seems kinda high to me, but i'm probaly not seeing all he's seeing, e.g. did he say what is specifically involved ? I would get quotes from other electricians in your area to see if get a better price

Yep working on additional quotes. Literally have a single hole w/exposed wires from single light fixture I removed and need to make to cut 2 new holes over each of the vanity sinks to hang two new light fixtures above 2 separate mirrors and then connect two new light fixtures and wall will be repaired . Really $550? I was thinking half that.

This is the type of job I might do, so here is some insight.

Depending on how the wire is run, and how access is to that wire, this could be a fairly simple job, or not so easy.

Is there an attic above this space with easy access? If not, a good bit of drywall may need to be removed to get to the wire and move it, then connect it with the new second fixture.

Then all the drywall must be repaired and painted.

Is your contractor doing all the work, or bringing in an electrician, drywall, and paint, and then installing the new fixtures and mirrors.

The $550 includes the following work: move one box to center of first sink, run additional conduit to second over second center sink and then patch and mud so surface is ready for painting company who will come in and charge separate fee to paint. Again, $550 seems high? yes or No?

Seems high to me.
