Thanks for the advice. I like the look of glass but I'm trying to stay away from it because I have 3 kids under 3 and the thought of glass scares me lol! What about something like this? Would the teal work or is it safer to stay white?

I'd vote for white and then ad some teal accents like a vase, or candles, or books etc.

Sorry Danny, but I'd go for the turquoise/aqua/teal color coffee table...with three small ones, I'd wait a few years for the white table, but I would add white pillows (or pillows with lots of white) to the sofas.

With little ones, have you considered an ottoman in leather? Some ideas but i am leaning on the teal number:

Well first off what you have is way too far away. I think you need to pull your furniture towards the center of the room. The guideline is 12-15 inches between the upholstered furniture and the coffee table/ottoman. As for the shape, if you had a sofa with a chair at either end, you would want a rectangular table. If you have 2 sofas or a sofa & loveseat in an L-shape, you would want a square or round table/ottoman.

If you can't reach the table while sitting down or put your feet up on the ottoman, it's useless.

I would get two of these, one for each sofa:
