Need help with kitchen countertop

The countertops in my kitchen are Venetian Gold granite, my cabinets are natural cherry. Right now the island is also Venetian Gold granite however I want to change the configuration of the island which will mean I have to replace the granite -- any suggestions for another complimentary color or different material?
